Liam Bridcutt put up for sale by Sunderland. i remember him being very good for Brighton a few years ago. Would he be the box to box midfielder that would do a job for us ? or even just a bit if strength next to Dikacoi ?
not saying we are linked but think he would be a good signing for most Championship teams. opinions ?

Thought the same last night when I saw that Sunderland would allow him to leave. Would be a good signing but could not see the club spend the money.

1.5- 2.5 is the talk. thought that was pretty reasonable for someone who could offer consistent performance in the Championship

Less than £3m for Bridcutt? Get him in! I'd only say Guedioura would be an equally decent signing.

Sign him up slade I'd give anything below 3 mil for him

Tan won't sanction us spending anywhere near that amount. And we cannot expect him to after the abuse he has received

Not fussed on him really.

Totally agree either of these two would strengthen our midfield massively, I've got a funny feeling we're banking on Dikgacoi to get back to full fitness though.

Bridcutt would be a fantastic signing for us. If we play 4-3-3 next season, we could potentially have a central midfield consisting of Dikgacoi, Ralls and Bridcutt, with Gunnarsson, Whittingham and O'Keefe as back up. Then we could have the front three being Ameobi, Doyle and Pilkington/Noone. Or if we do some how prise Johnny Russell from Derby, we could have either a front three of Russell, Doyle and Ameobi or Ameobi Russell and Pilkington/Noone. If we want to progress this season then we will have to sell at least one striker and replace him/them with Johnny Russell and also we have to bring in one more central midfielder to go straight into the side and to replace Adeyemi. Then if those two signings are made, we have a very good chance of getting into the Play Offs. Whatever happens I still think we need a striker and midfielder, regardless of whether or not they are Russell and/or Bridcutt.
Bloooooobirds.

Anything around 2.5mil or less, I would 100% take Bridcutt, he would be a brilliant signing.

Yeah, yeah but if your god Slade put a bid in for him you'd soon change your mind like you always do & he'd be the best thing since sliced bread.
Would be great for us but it won't happen.

Just checked to see if he was at Brighton at the same time as Slade but he wasn't.
I was hoping that he would want to link up again with his favourite manager again like Cabaye did with Pardew at Palace!
Will we ever hear a top class player say "The reason I wanted to join the mighty Bluebirds was for the chance to work with the manager again"?
Apart from Alex Revell of course.

Im not fussed on him in the sense i don't think we need him and wouldn't come to us anyway.

Why don't you think he'd come to us?

I think he would be a bit beyond our budget i could be wrong but i don't want him as we have got players similar to him.

Great player. Would be a great addition to any Championship team, foolish to say otherwise.
But Slade will probably prefer an unproven League One/League Two player
