Looking at our squad at this present time - where can you see our club finishing next season?

I think the squad is very strong, it's the manager that's going to hold us back.
If Slade stays most or full season we'll finish mid table at best.

If we go on a poor run at the start I think people will want him gone in no time at all.
Even though we've cut costs, I think people still expect too much at times.
If we are in with a shout at the playoffs come March then I'll take it. Around 10-14th position in the winter I would take.

Perhaps you should have waited until the start of the season as we may be surprised & a couple more players will be brought in as more leave & it would give us a better idea of where we stand squad wise.
At this time though I'd say - mid table to just above.

Exactly my thoughts. However, I'm willing to back Slade provided we make progress under him. He took over a very unbalanced squad last season and although I am pessimistic about him taking us forward I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt this year. The persistence with the 4-4-2 is worrying though. Football dinosaur.

No progress under slade

I cannot see how the squad is considered very strong. We had a far better squad at the start of last season and we finished mid table. Since then the club has offloaded quality players and replaced them with much travelled freebies. Other then Jones who the club are trying to offload I cannot see where the goals are going to come from. Doyle may get 10-15 but I cannot see anyone else get into double figures. In comparison to many other Championship teams we lack quality, pace & proven goal scorers. We may have a couple of stand out players Manga, Marshall ,etc but other than that we are struggling in many areas. I am also not convinced with Slades team selections or tactics.
There is still time to add to the squad but based on the current squad I think it will be a mid table finish at best and possibly as low as 20th.

I think we have strength throughout the squad it's just not utilised properly. Our defence is sound, as you say Marshall and Manga and also big Ben when he's fit and I think Morrison will have a better season than last. However we may struggle at RB & LB. We have quality in CM with Whitts, Gunnar, Rails and hopefully see the best of Dikgacoi too. We have pace out wide with Noone, Kennedy and Harris and also the experience of Pilkington and I agree Doyle will get into double figures but I also think we have lots of goals in the squad from wide, midfiled and of course Mason and Revel. And we now have Ameobi who can play wide or up front and should score goals and plenty assists.
But you can have all the quality in the world but if the managers system belongs in the 90's it's a complete waste of talent. 4-4-2 doesn't work anymore so hopefully he will change this. If he doesn't I agree with your league position prediction.

Poor squad and poor manager. We'll be extremely fortunate to finish mid table

Current squad with Jones and guerra up front on form top 6
But guerra won't be here or be starting at the start of the season

need more than Sammy Ameobi for fans to believe a good season is achievable

Potentially I think we could be up the top but under the management I just can't see any better than mid table

With Slade in charge looking about as lost as a penguin in Abu Dhabi, I can't see us grinding out the results to get us to the automatic spaces. If we bring in a better manager who is proven to be successful, we could well gain automatic promotion with the squad we have!

As long as we have a strong start I think we should just about be safe, pushing for mid-table.

Defo a relegation battle. If Slade leaves at Christmas time though, maybe mid table.

I do not think many fans will share your optimism but it would be a total shock and great news if it did happen!

Bored in work. But honestly, pre season prediction really are pointless:

And I'm pretty those teams prior to the season had similar outlooks for their team.

as it stands I'd say mid table so Mason can do another poll after we have done our business in the transfer window and then we will see.

Mid table all day long. Not enough quality for me to get into the playoffs but we do have enough good players to avoid relegation.

Absolutely. Need a goalscorer and midfield general desperately. Oh and a new manager as well.

Even Stevens Hmmmm

That's because you've got a full size picture of Slade at the foot of your bed I expect.
Cold shower should do the trick mate.

I couldn't find the 'Win the league with 15 games to spare' option?

You can borrow my " Pull yourself together and find a good shrink" book if it would help!
