Adam LeFondre

Thu Jul 16, 2015 11:31 am

I wouldn't exactly call him hopeless but he didn't score the goals he was expected to & did miss several chances.
However, after being played out of position, he did come back. He worked hard & his movement & ability to get into positions was very good.
People - including myself - are giving Slade another chance & a clean sheet to start afresh so why not LeFondre?
A bit of man management by Slade & hopefully a change in tactics from the long ball down the channels & we could have a 20 goal a season player that we need. He's done it everywhere else so why not here?
There's talk of him wanting to leave & if he's adamant then fair enough but I'm sure he could be persuaded to stay if Slade has the ability.

Le fondre is more than capable of getting goals.

Don't like your chances on space changing tactics tho.

Thats the problem. Slade needs to play to his strengths (and the other forwards and midfielders) to get the best out of them. But he seems to want to play them in his strict rigid formation.

Ffs how many players do we have in our squad who need the rest of the team to play to there strengths
Le fondre is played out of position well he should adapt ffs
Whitts is played out of position well he should adapt ffs
Excuses exscuses if they were that good they would adapt not miss chances and disappear in games
How about we leave these two out and bring in two other players to take there place ,I for one would applaud slade if he did ,
It's about time players adapted or shipped out :sladein: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Instead of moaning about le fondre and whitts not being used properly

Le Fondre wants to leave. That's why he's being played in the Reserves. Having said that, he's a better all-round striker than most of the others we've got. It can't be all down to management because he was poor in front of goal for both Ole and Slade. Maybe his head has been 'up north' with his family? Maybe the kind of football we played really didn't suit him? Probably both.

It doesn't matter what style of football a team plays if you get a chance you should score but Alf fluffed them last year ,he had a fair crack at it but couldn't take his chance

See how le fondre does against Carmarthen on saturday, if he does good he might just have a chance assuming he bags two goals or something then maybe Slade will take notice and give him another chance.

Yes, but something's wrong when he scores everywhere else but for us. I'd like to think there's a way back, but doubt it. He's waiting for a club, but who can afford him?..definitely not Bolton and Burnley have signed Vossen.

I agree but if you read my post I'm saying he should be given another chance (if he wants to or can be persuaded to stay).
Look at Noone. For me, he was one of our worst players last season & contributed virtually zilch attacking wise. Keeps getting played & given chance after chance.

Maybe but the fact he was having to run himself into the ground every game trying to live off scraps didn't help. By the time he eventually got a chance he was knackered.

Good point.
It's all about the tactics & style to suit players. That's proven with Whitts & Gunnar last season. Slade was the only one not able to see this & what did he do? .... nothing.

Can he/will he be able to change things from his long ball down the channels to a more modern game? .... remains to be seen.

--------------Marshall

----Manga Turner Connolly

Fabio ------------------------ John

---- Ralls Gunnarson Whitts

------- Mason LeFondre

That's the only formation I can see them pair playing together. I like both players, but would prefer to see Kennedy involved and would line up 4-2-3-1 with Mason just behind LeFondre.

There is no balance to our squad at all

Re: Adam LeFondre

Le Fondre is a goal scorer and his work rate can't be questioned, I hope he stays and bangs in 20 plus :bluebird:

Re: Adam LeFondre

Never banged in 20 plus in the Championship before, wouldn't expect him to start now. 15 is his best at this level. Not bad, but he isn't the goal machine at our level that people make him out to be. His big scoring seasons were in League 2.

I have it on good authority that he's be told to train with the academy

I've always made my thoughts clear on old Alfie - He's useless.

What was our top scorer in our promotion year?

He works hard which I never expected when we signed him.

He been trying to get a move since Jan constantly undermined what slade was saying and even made out we hadn't been in touch with him while at Bolton and tried making out the manager treated him poorly now he's back and no fuker wants him or not for the money we pay him yet the player himself tries to make ppl feel sorry for him on social media, waste of money and a useless little c**t imo
