Tom Adeyemi says that he is thankful to Cardiff City manager Russell Slade for being honest over not being able to guarantee him playing time at the Welsh outfit and consenting to his loan switch to Leeds United.
The Norwich City youth product has joined Leeds on a season-long loan and could sign for the Whites permanently if he can impress during his time at Elland Road.
Adeyemi is looking to earn a spot in the side at Leeds which he knows would have eluded him if he had stayed put at Cardiff.
And the 23-year-old revealed an honest conversation with the Bluebirds manager, which prompted his loan switch, especially as Slade emphasised the need for him to play on a regular basis.

Annis seems like Slade is getting rid of most of the players that OGS and MM brought in, obviously Slade does not rate them, we will have to see what he does when he has all his players in and is happy with the ones he rates

It does seem that way, let's hope Slades are better, he's had all summer to bring players in, so I hope there are no excuses.

Sad our manager is so short sighted and wouldn't even give him game time to prove himself towards the end of last season.

Well in my opinion Slade has got this one wrong
the only problem is he does seem to get injured a lot

Ralls is a better all-round midfielder. We can only have so many players and Dikgacoi is now in contention.

Let's be honest Slade is never going to win, whoever he lets go, he will be criticised by the forum linch mob

Slade has got this one very wrong

I think RS has got this one right because TA is another player, in my opinion, who has failed to set the world alight since he signed for the club.
There may be many reason why he failed to make an impact and injury is probably the biggest reason of all but as DJ would say every player needs to prepare properly and be ready to take his chance when it comes along. TA played a total of 1018 minutes for us last season, only 15 other players had more time on the pitch last season, and during that time he is the only midfield player who failed to block a single cross or shot. There are many other statistics which show, in terms of DJ mindset, that he failed to make an impact whenever he was given his chance.
Maybe a spell at another club will freshen him up and if he does return to us after his loan spell maybe we will get to see the player OGS clearly thought he is.

Personally would have kept him, but he needs to play to develop, so respect to him for going out on loan. Would prefer for Leeds not to have a buy option at the end, though this is slightly higher than we paid. How much is he on a week?

Let's think about this with an adult brain. No player is guaranteed game time. Every one of them must work hard and earn it.
If Adeyemi is not willing to do this, and wants guaranteed game time, then good luck to him elsewhere in the future.
It's hard working team players we want, not players who wants to be guaranteed a spot.

Credit for Slade for discussing it with the player than just sending him out which has appeared with the others, nice to see him controlling things better on a football side.
Don't see why supporters are throwing toys out of the pram, he inherited a squad with players that are not his, why should he be made to use them? He wants to build his team and I hope Adeyemi can prove us wrong there and show we cost 1 million.

Agree with this. Slade does appear to alienate 'some' players, which doesn't bode well when/if the club are in need of motivated individuals to come into the team following injury or suspension (given that he won't be able to shift all of them out this summer)
I'm still prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but a slow start to the season wouldn't bode well for his already tenuous relationship with supporters

I cant say ive agreed with very much he has done at all, not going to pretend I do.
Reducing the wage bill is the only positive I see from Slade
