I actually rated him. Some poor games but what I saw of him was good play. Ran through defenders took a few shots and decent in midfield.

But do you actually know that his wages are off the books?? A lot of loan players these days have a good percentage of their wages being paid by the club that is loaning the player out and not the other way around. It wouldn't surprise me if we were paying at least 50-60% of his wages and we agreed to the deal just because it was one less player to think about. I don't think too much thought was given when we agreed to this deal. Now if we have a decent replacement lined up and not on much wages, then maybe it might turn into a good deal for us. But, if nobody replaces him and we are stuck with the poor midfield options we had last season then things do not look good. However, I hope to god Dickagcoi replaces Whittingham in the middle alongside Gunnarsson, so we don't get overrun so much in the centre.
