Kenwyne Jones is currently in the USA, playing for Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Cup. He was captain for their 2-0 win against Cuba.
Trinidad have played two, won two in their group, beating Guatemala and Cuba. Their final match is against Mexico tomorrow.
Jones played alongside Guerra during the win against Cuba, but it wasn’t Cardiff club-mate Javi. Ataullah Guerra plays for Central FC in Trinidad.

If we're not in for another striker & Alf is off then I'd personally welcome back Jones to the squad with open arms. He'll score goals.
By getting rid of another 8 or so players plus the cuts already made it will compensate for his inflated wages for his last year of his contract.

The only issue I have with Jones is the level of his wages.
In terms of ability at Championship level I think he's shown he will score goals with decent service. Even when he didn't start games he came on and affected them.
If we can't find another club to take on Jones's wages then we should make the best of it and play him. Two decent wingers who can cross the ball could make him very dangerous at this level.

Sure I heard somewhere that Jones has a clause in his contract that states if he plays 1 more game for City then he gets an automatic renewal ??? I could be wrong mind

Sounds like he'll be knackered by the time he plays again for us. He'll probably take things easy on his first 10 or 12 games back.

I've watched both Trinidad games in the gold cup and I'm sorry to say that Kenwyne has been below par......again. He looks lazy, unwilling to join in, team mates playing around him. We need to get shot of him in my eyes. He just doesn't show any interest or passion.

Couldn't agree more

The fact is that we play better without him. I still think we're desperate for a striker with pace...come back Fraizer!

If anything I can see him going out on loan to a rival if they are willing to pay a decent % of his wages. Can't see anyone taking on 100% of them however.

Get rid of him and his HUGE WAGES

Is he worth £35k a week or almost £2 million a year? We end up playing hoof ball with him in the side.
