Today's Championship Transfers
The transfer window is open for business and as usual clubs are busy making deals ahead of the new season.
Huddersfield Town face battle for Manchester City striker
Jordi Hiwula is on Huddersfield Town’s wish list - but they face serious competition from Championship rivals in the race to land the Manchester City striker.
Both Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers are also believed to be keen on the 20-year-old Manchester City striker, who made his mark during a loan spell at Walsall last season.
He notched nine goals in 20 games for the League 1 side, winning a string of admirers and bringing an asking price of around the £500,000 mark.
Kalas rejoins Boro
The Czech Republic defender agreed a one year deal to rejoin Boro on loan from Chelsea over the weekend.
And after the deal was rubber-stamped this morning he joined Aitor Karanka’s squad to jet out to pre-season training in Marbella.
Fulham flop off to Portugal
Portuguese media are reporting Sporting Lisbon are in advanced talks to sign Greek striker Kostas Mitroglou from Fulham.
A Bola claim Mitroglou will be joining Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan. The Primeira Liga giants will pay around €1 million for the deal, but it remains to be seen whether a buy-out clause will be included.
The 27-year-old Mitroglou made just three appearances for Fulham following a £12million move in January 2014 and spent last season on loan at former club Olympiakos where he scored 16 goals in 24 league fixtures.
Town boss reveals 'ridiculous' loan offer for Daryl Murphy
Mick McCarthy remains hopeful that star striker Daryl Murphy will stay at Ipswich this summer - and claims the club have already turned down a ‘ridiculous’ loan bid for the forward.
Reports in East Anglia claim Ipswich have already knocked back an offer worth £4.5m from Middlesbrough this summer, while Premier League trio Stoke, West Brom and Leicester have all been linked.
