You may well be right. I'm going for this option but not instead of renewing which for various reasons I had no intention of doing anyway. The alternative for me would have been not going at all.

We must be the only club in the country who get feck all for being loyal and stumping up cash- keep hearing noises that the club are going to do something for S/T holders - (apart from having to apply for a ticket for a friendly - why can't they just just load the game on your card ffs. !!!)

so how much are these tickets going for with this gold membership, what are the 'early bird' prices?

http://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/tickets/ticket-prices/Hopefully the link above works.
Matches are categorised as gold, silver and bronze. A Zone 3 ticket, mid to back of lower ninian area (I think) is between £19 - £22 per game. I think a season ticket for that zone is about £420. Say the average early bird price is £21 then once you've factored in the £25 membership cost you could probably go to about 18/23 games for the same cost as a season ticket.
As long as you don't mind possibly having to switch seat each game it's not a bad option.

Just bought adult, young adult and junior bluebird. 60 quid lighter but happy to see sensible admission prices this season.

Great idea and well done to the club for doing so. Also in the unlikely situation where we make a Wembley final again, the club will have a natural allocation system to follow for example Season Ticket Holders first, Golden Members then Silver Members.
It should stop those who appear from nowhere at times like that claiming they have a right to a ticket due to attending a Division 4 match in the 1980's.

Maybe its just me but it seems a bit pointless. I don't think getting priority on tickets will be to much of an issue, did we sell out any game last season?
Only real "benefit" I can see is paying £25 to save £5 in 5 games time

Also this makes me think we will be seeing discounted on amazon again, maybe even places like groupon etc.

Looks to be exactly the same as last season except I think the membership has gone up by £5.
It's a good thing of you're going to miss a few games throughout the season or you don't want to lash out a big sum in one hit.
