What position do you believe needs strengthening the most in our squad for the coming season ?
I am going to say centre midfield.
Even though we have good centre midfielders with experience and a few younger ones coming through, it is the one position I would like to see a dominant ball winning player.
Every team wants a 20 goal a season striker but in my opinion unless you win the midfield battle to ' earn the right to play ' then you stand little chance of being a successful team.
Opinions please

One hundred percent the managers position needs changing

We must keep manga as defence without him concerns me. Morrison worries me immensely. Not sure about Malone either. We still need rid of 5 or 6 players as squad is too big. I'd get rid of Morrison, adeyemi, Jones. I'd loan out youngsters to league 2 clubs for experience.

Center midfield i agree with, but think we got to give the ones at the club a chance. Dikacoi and Adeyemi could come good. Same goes for Okeefe who looked good in Forest last season.
I also feel the same with a winger mind. Kads hasnt really had a good run and could become good

Centre midfield. But a new formation will probably work. Ralls, Adeyemi and Gunnarsson have great quality.

Well, after speaking to someone (not particularly influential) within the club this last week, I have to say I am going to give Russell Slade a chance to prove us all wrong!
Seems the squad are reacting well to him and his coaching staffs and the early signs are good for next season, so long as we can get a couple more players in to complement what is already there, which brings me back to the OP's question...
Centre midfield for me too and (specifically) someone with a bit of 'bite' to go get the ball back when we lose it!

Someone like Joey Barton. Or Kevin Nolan. A midfield organiser and motivator. Mind you, if given the club captain role Gunnarssonn could yet do this.
Mon Jul 13, 2015 7:05 am
Gunnarsson lacks pace..has the desire...need someone alongside him and dikagcoi or him and O keefe who can dictate midfield.. whitts can be out of the game for too long... and a good pacey striker...I hear Norwich are going to offload that striker they bought from Bournemouth...the one we lost out to last season..can t think of his name

We need a tough/hard man, a midfield general who can inspire our team.
I believe the squad has plenty of quality, but no real leader.

Definitely midfield.
We haven't been creating enough for our strikers.

I think Gunnarson fits that bill.

It's a new season now so I'm going to forget last season and put my faith back in Slade to improve and regain our team spirit... I'm on the fence with him really. I'm not 'Slade In' or 'Slade Out' at the moment... I'm more of a let him prove us wrong after last season kinda guy.
We can all judge him again after those first 10 Championship fixtures
Mon Jul 13, 2015 1:20 pm
We need 2 good centre midfielders.
Oh and a new manager would be good.

The only "enforcer" around nowadays is Cattermole at Sunderland, although Joey Barton still has his moments.
