Hereford the worst IMO windows right by the touch line and the stand felt unsafe.

Others QPR, Anfield( Least leg room I've ever expletives at a match glad we stood up as I couldn't physically sit down being 6ft2), Old Trafford( not the stadium but it's located in an absolute SHITHOLE) and last but not least Portsmouth the toilets are shocking and the goalmouth looks like its on a hill.

Huddersfield's new ground has a disgusting design. Other than that Palace and it's wooden seats isn't great.

All the lower division grounds quoted but man, do I miss the days of travelling to them?! The "romance" of going to away games has been largely lost to me; life and work commitments mean I've rarely travelled away in the last 6 years but even when I have, it just isn't the same anymore. Over zealous stewarding/policing, sterile grounds with little real atmosphere and the cost of it all. Must admit that the quality of football has been much better and we generally make more of a din than at home!

The old Gigg lane and the Vetch, Edgar street is right in the middle of Hereford town centre so that makes up for the ground being shit :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :sladeout:

I miss some of the old grounds It must be an age thing but there was something about going to these ground For so called top club Anfield was shocking Never has such little leg room in my life and that includes going to a game on hospitality

Re: shit grounds

Springfield Park (Wigan)
Gigg Lane (Bury)
Plainmoor (Torquay)

and Home Park (Plymouth)only because I can't stand the club.

The old den hereford and shrewsburys old ground

Re: shit grounds

I disagree with Gigg Lane I quite liked it - hated Northampton though. That open side meant there was no chance of an atmosphere. Hartlepool wasn't great either.

Gigg Lane was my first away match the night we got promoted in 1976 - me and my dad walked in without paying as there were no stewards and sat down among the weeds growing behind the goal :) Great night though as we won [Alston I think scored] and Palace lost so we went up with Hereford instead of them :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Northampton's Sixfields 'Stadium'. And the pies tasted of old shoes. Home of The Cobblers. Says it all.

Besides those already mentioned, I would also include Maidstone when they were in the league.

Northampton's old ground was called the County Ground as they shared it with the cricket club, absolute shocking place with that open end. When we went there last Alan Knill played for us and he was just as bad as the ground

Was talking about this to someone the other day. Down south a lot of the lower division clubs have new stadiums but up here there are loads of old style ones.

Cowdenbeath has a stock car racing track around the outside of theirs!

Re: shit grounds

MK Dons - The ice rink place - A mixture of the ground being awful and it pooring with rain made it the worse away trip ever

Re: shit grounds

Blackpool, when they were developing the stadium and moved the pitch about 1000 yards away from our stand, Springfield Park (wigans old ground) and Hereford.

Alan Knill, bloody hell. Its an odd place as it feels half-built. I'm not a fan of the Madejski Stadium either, horrible cheap & nasty considering it is fairly new.
