Annis, this player power needs to stop and if Liverpool do exactly what they say it could be a step in the right direction for clubs and the start of a situation where other players take note and not be so greedy

he's supposed to sign a new deal for liverpool just because its a historical club? they will not be in the champions league for some time. his PR has turned the public against him, whereas liverpool are successfully using every trick to turn the public against him.
i suggest some of you engage your brains and start thinking for yourself rather than lapping up everything the media chuck at you. at the end of the day it comes down to a player wanting to play for a bigger club and better himself.

He's doing a good job of turning people against him by 'phoning in sick' for pre season training! He's contracted to Liverpool at the moment so he should be honouring that contract and going about things the right way.
