Without a doubt one of the most skilful players I've ever seen in a City shirt.

That season when he was on loan he was absolutely magnificent and almost got us to the play-offs single handed.

And that game away at Doncater was it in his second spell when he scored twice to help us to win just showed what a performer he could be on his day.

Thanks for the enjoyment you gave us in a City shirt Jason and all the best for the future.

Was awesome in his first spell on loan. I remember being in the Leicester end at the Walkers staium and he scored an amazing free kick. Very hard to heep my head down and keep quiet that day!

Former Wales midfielder Jason Koumas has announced his retirement at the age of 35

Koumas, who won 34 international caps, started his career with Rovers before a £2.5m switch to West Brom

After five years with the Baggies, he joined Wigan for £5.3m, but had two loan spells with Cardiff before his return to Prenton Park in 201

"I know my own body and this is the right time for me to hang up my boots", he told the Tranmere website

"I'm happy with the career I've had. I've played for some good clubs, met some great people and have plenty of memories. I wish I could have gone out on a high but it wasn't to be. Despite the results, I really enjoyed my last two seasons back at Tranmere and am glad I made the decision to return to the club."

Good luck, Koumas. A great player on his day for Cardiff City FC  :ayatollah:

Technically very accomplished. Always had that extra yard of space which he would create for himself, and a sign of a good player is that he always seemed to have time on the ball. His passing and movement were second to none ... oh, how we could do with someone of his ability now, eh!

All the best for the future Jason. :ayatollah:

I think I read it in Steven Gerrards autobiography that Koumas was the most gifted player he'd ever played with through the academy. He just didn't have the desire to be the very best. Still gave me some very good memories as a city fan to see a player of his talent at the club during his first loan spell. All the best Jason.

If I'm honest, I thought he'd retired about 4years ago. Great first time around, head wasn't right second time for one reason or another. Good luck to him

He was a great player for us at he level we were playing but saying his movement and passing were second to none I think is a bit over the top unless you mean compared to anyone in the Cardiff team

What a player in the 05/06 season. I remember beating crewe 6-1 I think and he run the length of the pitch and scored.
