With Forest only being able to offer no more than £10,000 a week in wages.
The London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist is seeking interest from numerous Sky Bet Championship clubs after his release from recently relegated Wigan Athletic.
The former Cardiff City midfielder made 18 appearances for the Latics last season, scoring twice, before being released after their relegation from the Championship last season.
The 25-year-old already has a wealth of experience, accumulating 32 caps for his national side as well as the tough task of replacing former Manchester United star Park Ji-Sung in the side and achieving promotion with his former side Cardiff City.
It is believed that Sheffield Wednesday are leading the race for Kim Byo-Kyung with Reading and Forest both battling for his signature.
Despite the relegation he was a part of last season, the South Korean International would be an exceptionally good signing for any side in the Championship.
Especially for Nottingham Forest who are still in a weakened position under their FFP restrictions resulting in their transfer embargo.
With Forest only being able to offer no more than £10,000 a week in wages, it makes it extra challenging for manager Dougie Freedman to sign the creative midfielder.

I thought Kimbo to be very inconsistent when with us,,,but when he was good he was good, but that didn't happen very often.
If he's looking for a move for Ten Grand a week then hey, he's your man.... I can only wish,,,,,,,,& its not my Money!

Under slade no, he has no place in a rigid 442

Its a no from me, To small and needs protection. We need people who can do it on their own and not get carried by others

I'd like to see him back and think he would add to the squad at Championship level
I think he'd love to come back, too!

Felt sorry for kimbo but sometimes there is no going back but I liked kimbo and I will always remembers his best display against Man City in that famous win he was good that day

I think he can do a job for us at this level.

Without a doubt. A brilliant player, exceptional when played in the right selection. Just like Daehli and Guerra we seem to want to get rid of quality too readily.

Another player that thrived in a 5 man midfield but struggled in a 4 man one. We could do a lot worse than him but unless we got him on the cheap in terms of transfer fee and wages then I wouldn't bother.

I would take him back. As an addition to the squad he is a decent player.

he's the sort of player that needs good players around him to play well and look good.
he would struggle big time in our team so i wouldn't sign him.
