Welcome Sammy Newcastle forward links up with City for '15/16
Cardiff City Football Club is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Sammy Ameobi, from Newcastle United.
The 23 year-old former England U21 international has made 54 Barclays Premier League appearances for the Magpies to date, scoring against Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City last season.
Sammy will link up with the rest of the City squad at their pre-season training camp immediately, having signed a season long agreement on Tuesday that runs until 30th June, 2016.
Speaking exclusively to cardiffcityfc.co.uk, Cardiff City CEO Ken Choo said: "We're delighted to have Sammy on board, having hand-picked him specifically for his creativity and skill.
"Sammy has Barclays Premier League experience to the tune of more than 50 top-flight appearances. We will continue to search for the right players who have specific skill sets and good character."

His stats comparison with our wingers from last season. Can't really say he is any worse as his stats are in the prem whereas ours are from the division below. Anyway he still needs to prove himself just like most players that come here.
