' How Cardiff secured Sammy Ameobi on loan '

Newcastle had the final word in where Ameobi went on a seasons loan.

After Sammy Ameobi had agreed his new contract with Newcastle, Cardiff I believe have agreed, as long as Ameobi is fully fit, he must feature in every League game, Wolves were unable to give that guarantee.

As to the wages, both clubs were willing to pay approx 70% of his Ameobi's wages.

Chairman Dalman did all the negotiations with Newcastle after Slade had met Ameobi last week.

To be fair to City, we have saved on transfers fees and a hefty signing on fee and got ourselves a Premier League player for one whole season :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

If that's true think its very naïve to sign him. Lets hope he hits form otherwise we are stuck with someone in the team who doesn't perform. Massive risk, no wonder no reasonable team wanted him with that clause.

If this is true then it is a bit of a concern on our part to guarantee him a place regardless of form. Then again, any substitute appearance would involve him featuring in a game. Hope he proves to be a hit.

So does that mean that if he finds it hard to fit in with our style of play, or goes through a bad spell where he is playing very poorly we have to play him anyway. If that's the case I can well understand why Wolves wouldn't agree to it, their priority is a serious push for promotion, not easy to do if you have to play someone irrespective of how that player is performing.

Read it again.

As long as he's fully fit he will feature. Featuring will also include the 7 man bench. Is that so bad or naive :?: Seems fair enough to me.

I believe Rambo also had a similar clause when he came back on loan, that didn't turn out so bad

If he is not fully fit i.e. less than 100% fit we don't have to play him, assuming any of this is true anyway!! All transfers are gambles to a certain extent. Let's think positive eh? :bluescarf:

I think if these terms are true, a lot of teams would not have agreed to it. This is supposed to be a professional game with vast amounts of potential money involved. If you are having to include someone whatever his form, you are having to leave someone else out who could well be the person you would have brought on to try and change a game. I could understand a non league side agreeing to something like this, but if we are serious about promotion to the mega money league, we need our team and bench to be full of players in form, and not running with the matchday squad being in effect a player down. Suppose we will have to wait and see what conditions have been imposed on us, and hope he doesn't have a dip in form.

People are taken terms of loan literally! Without actually knowing full details of what as been agreed? Yes they want assurances that he gets game time who wouldn't, but doesn't mean if not fully fit ect ect that we must play him! People Always wanting a reason to whinge at club! :o

And I think some of us a wondering why he hasn't gone to Wolves who are generally expected to be challenging for promotion this season.

Because as stated they probably didn't like terms of loan, but that is not unusual wether it be wages or playing time even style of play!! its upto that club to accept conditions or not?

At the end of the day you can either put a positive or negative light on this. If he plays well and in the side week in week out then slade will get all the plaudits. If not then slade has had a mare. I would like to think it shows good balls from slade and has full confidence in this players personality and attitude to perform. He does have something to prove after all. Time will tell...

Caught red handed. How dull can you get.

After all why would you sign a player like this if the aim isn't to play him week in and week out

Great to see that the miserable fuckers with their propaganda against Slade were found out with this loan signing.

I was looking forward to the next negativity and it didn't take long with Slade being berated for promising that he plays in every game. Something that is not enforceable but let's not let that stop it from being lied about it.

I see Slade may also not be given credit for the deal now. Hysterical.

The bias and lies are laughable and can be seen through every time. Not quite up to the standards of world politics just yet.

Trying to be realistic. Seen too many false dawns over the years. I thought we were certs to go up when Toshack & Clarke were our strikers, but we never got there. Over the years seen plenty of supporters going a bit over the top as far as our team is concerned, I'm just being a bit more reserved. Been here too long and seen it all before like when we were certs to walk away with the league last season.

Totally agree Wayne, all this over the top negativity by the so called loyal supporters on this board is getting way beyond tiresome now! It's getting pathetic to be honest and is starting to put me off even coming on here. Be critical of the club, Tan and Slade by all means, but this is childish and bitter comments for nothing more than the sake of it. Well done Slade and the club for pulling off one of the top deals in the Champioship thus far. :bluescarf:

You will find that "must play in every game" has to be taken with a pinch of salt.....

most clubs loaning out a player will try to put in this clause....however in reality if the player is struggling with loss of form, confidence etc a simple phone call between the managers explaining the situation will result in the player being given a rest for a couple of games...

.this is standard practise in loan deals......I believe Le Fondre deal with Bolton had a similar clause

We should be thrilled with a signing like this and yet we have moans . If he doesn't hit form and is poor then the club can tell Newcastle and cancel the agreement it may cost to cancel but it can be done . However my concern is what some on here will call on form lol
