We have one of the the most clinical strikers in the English system last year in Doyle.
Ameobi and Doyle is one of the best partnerships in the league.

Steve Zodiak wrote:I'm with MJ on this. How anyone can say Ameobi & Doyle is the best partnership in this league is way over the top considering they have never even played together. I hope they are, but they could just as easily turn out to be a poor partnership. Personally, I haven't seen anything much in Doyle yet apart from a couple of nicely tucked away penalties to get too excited about. He is unproven at this level and I think I would wait and see before making claims like this, particularly as one of the players in this brilliant partnership hasn't even been confirmed as playing for us yet.

Hopefully he picks a partnership and sticks at it, rather than switching all the time.

hang on I'm not the one who is claiming that Ameobi and Doyle is one of the best partnerships in the league when I very much doubt that they have even met each other. Actually its 5 goals since the transfer window which fingers crossed sets him up for a first full season but to compare apples with pears which he clearly is by comparing the Championship to League One and League Two plus with the best partnership claim is crack addict claims of the highest degree

People are entitled to express their views. If you don't agree then say so without being abusive. Why the hell do you need to show such disrespect to a fellow City fan who wasn't attacking you but simply stating an opinion?

read the wording of his quote again as 'Ameobi and Doyle is one of the best partnerships in the league'. No where in that quote does he say 'in my opinion' is that or is that not true..?

Quite clearly it's his opinion. You don't have to qualify every statement you make by including the phrase "in my opinion" every time you say something. I thought it was obvious that he was stating an opinion as it cannot possibly be a fact because they haven't played together yet. So having established that I return to the point I was making...that when someone on here gives an opinion we all have the right to dispute it but I don't see the need for abusive comments. It shows a lack of class to be honest "in my opinion"
