I'm looking into booking a family trip to Disneyland Paris next Easter and it looks a bit more complicated than I first thought. Van anyone help with some questions that have come up
What's the best way to get there?
How long should we go for?
Where should we stay?
If anyone has been and could shed any advice it would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

My sister in law stayed at the Mexican hotel in the resort , She said it was very nice. When I went for the day I got the train , Easy way to do it.

I've been 3-4 times. The disney resorts are massively over priced. I've stayed at a couple of their affiliate hotels, my explorers and also hotel d'elysses. My recommendation is to book a budget hotel near the resort, I've stayed at Hotel B&B in Marne la Vallee which is very cheap but clean and tidy and walking distance to the RER which is then one stop away from the Disneyland Paris station. The other two hotels are on a free shuttle service but are more expensive although the D'elysses is right outside Val de l'europe shopping centre with an abundance of cheaper restaurants, good shopping and also the Sea life centre Paris. If you fancy a trip in to Paris all 3 are an easy 30-40 minute commute in to central Paris which is excellent. I'd say two days is enough to do both Parks, but they are generally rubbish compared to Florida and when we went last year they were both looking run down.
My preference is driving and I've done this from Calais crossing on the Chunnel but seems to be more problems than it's worth these days, also done Eurostar which is easy straight to Disney land Paris or flown in to CDG. My preferred route is ferry from Poole to Cherbourg or slightly shorter from Portsmouth to Caen but 4/5 hours drive and a lot of tolls if you don't plan your route on the French side.
If you are driving allow two days, travelling, in each way but long drive and then at least three days there is ample maybe splitting the parks and doing the stuff at Val de l'europe for the other day or Parc Asterix instead. Not cheap mind but maybe punt for the hotel B&B chain or a Novotel, Campanile type hotel in the general vicinity of Marne la Vallee or Val de l'europe.

We went from cardiff airport with flybe, then the train from the airport to disney and the free bus to our hotel in disney got a 3day pass , no trouble at all in booking etc.
Some people go by bus but it is a very long journey, also been by eurotunnel but you have to change trains, easiest is by plane

We sometimes book with dlparisdirect.co.uk good half board options
We go either Halloween or around 5th November for fire works you can sometime catch the Xmas shows the latter part of the nov 5th week
Virtually no queues this time. Walk on rides straight after coming off. They do a tea treat which is a cake a hot drink, when ever we book we've got it free as it saves about £22
We stay onsite and load up at breakfast time, pay around £1050 4nights half board but it is brill for the kids. Book euro star separate. But that 1050 covers all your food etc. not sure how much the food is but I know it's expensive
I wouldn't go August queues are unreal, if your kids don't Mind 1.5hours queue for a 4 minute ride then your lucky. No chance with my 6 and 9 year old.
If staying onsite you get to go in the walt Disney park on the left of main entrance an hour before everyone else, you can easily do 6-7 rides if it's quiet on this side then straight into main park.
Do the shows on this part of the park very good and the car stunt show is decent. Eurostar stops onsite

Better still, save up for an extra year and go to Orlando instead! £ for £, it's much better value.

Went with the family eater just gone. Firstly, if you choose to fly (less than an hour from Bristol to CDG) be warned.. The French love a strike on easter Bank holiday, and we only made it by the skin of our teeth. Even the captain was amazed that we were taking off. Secondly, bear in mind if u stay in one of the Disney hotels u get free fast track passes thrown in (a must). And thirdly, book your table reservations in advance (u can do this upto 6 months in advance) coz if u don't you'll struggle for a table. The number is on the Disney paris website.

You could sleep in a shed and I think kids would still love it.

If I were you I would save my cash and try and get to Florida where the parks and the whole experience is much better. Plus in Florida there are many other parks and things to do as well as great beach resorts. I went with my kids about half a dozen times and we enjoyed every one.

If you can do Disneyland Florida
Paris is well off standard when comparing
It's well worth saving up for

As people are saying save a bit extra and go to florida You will spend more by booking a weekend at disney Paris inc spending money as you would in a week in Florida.
Staff in Paris are rude and the French are a nightmare when queing
