I went to that game and he was the difference. He scored a goal which he created out of nothing for himself and he showed he has an abundance of ability that game. In the second half he had 3 City players around him and shrugged them all off to keep possession with his body strength and quick feet. He's pacey, skilful, powerful and is a Premiership standard player. He just needs to sort his attitude and consistency out, as I can imagine him being very similar to JET, all the talent but frustrating.
Still, he had 27 appearances for Newcastle last season, which shows he can't be that bad at all, otherwise he wouldn't have had that many appearances. He also scored 6 seconds after coming on the pitch away to Spurs. Overall, I am happy with this signing, ability wise he will be one of the best Championship signings this season.
Whether he will consistency produce his talent for us this season remains to be seen. I can see him getting subbed at half time after doing absolutely nothing, then coming on as a sub for another game and single handedly winning us the game. As long as he puts in a shift for the majority of games, I'm confident Ameobi will prove to be a great signing. At least we won't be lacking the creativity and flair we previously lacked with players like Ameobi in the team.

I too hope he is not a Saha, deffo has the pace we crave but he needs positivity and desire.
He can get Bored.
Two young premier quality signings by slade maybe??
Hope the sladeslammers can get behind him.
If he succeeds great, if he fails, he's out. Simple.
Let's give them all 100% support this season instead of being the pantomime crowd in Tans circus last season.
