I believe he should be neither dropped or sold. In fact, I would pick my side around him. He is our best football/ball player by a country mile. Some say his legs have gone. No they haven't - he runs as much as anyone and as a midfielder covers more ground than most. In addition, he is the ONLY player who comes to look for the ball from a throw in, although Slade nearly always now tells the players to throw it down the line as if the are playing Parks football. It is only when he's gone that you will miss him and realise what a super player he is and a real professional.Rather than look at the negatives, counter these with the positives and let's be as loyal to him as he has been for us.

Agreed.
He needs to be played to his strengths. Then we will see the best of him again.
Put some width and pace in the team so he can pick out their runs, and it will completely change our attacking options. At the moment he looks up, sees the statues (Jones or Macheda) and has to pass side ways or backwards to retain possession.

Like a lot of our players, he needs a good manager who will utilise his strengths. With Doyle and Mason making runs he should pick them out. But even better would be a striker with pace. Whitts is the best long passer in the Championship, without a doubt.
