Tom Adeyimi

Thu Jul 02, 2015 7:27 pm

Whats chances of seeing him then. Spoke to family member of his here in turnip land. Apparently free of niggly injuries that stalled his progress last yr. But as a ogs signing will he be consigned to the stiffs again. Shame as season before with brum was a class act at champ level. Can he get run of games and be the power we need in the middle. Thoughts

I expect Slade will give him a run of games he is a type of player that Slade likes I expect. :thumbright: :sladein:

He did not get a look in under Slade last season. Should have played a lot more instead of sitting on the bench when our midfield was misfiring.

You clearly don't know your facts. He was not injured all season. He spent many a time warming the bench and didn't even get a 20 minute run out.

Clueless. Of City's last 8 matches he had 5 minutes as a sub against Birmingham, he could not get in the squad against Blackpool and for the other 6 games he sat on the bench for 90 minutes without being used. I have not bothered looking any further back so know your facts before you come on here and throw your FFS about. I am correct in what I am saying, he was under used. You are clearly a Slade fan at all costs but the facts do not lie.

Without going back further than the last 8 games Adeyimi played just 5 minutes out of 720 minutes when he was fully fit and warming the bench. Those 5 mins were against Birmingham. I think that backs up my theory that he was under used.

Re: Tom Adeyimi

No one knows what was going on behind the scenes.
He may not have been 100% fit at any point.

He was absolutely dire against Bournemouth in the cup for the majority who weren't there.
He also tired badly in other games he started.

At other times he looked good in patches.
So for me its good news if he's fully fit now.

It won't be easy getting in central midfield because despite all the gloom we've still got decent competition in there.
Whitts, Ralls ( who finished the season very strongly), Gunnar, Dikgachoi, O'Keefe and a fit Adeyimi.

If we play 2 up then only 2 of these can get in the middle.

Good news IMHO the lad has plenty of potential.
Please don't use it as an excuse to slag the manager off, it just looks one-eyed.

I think there will be a few others who will be stepping up come August, the afore-mentioned Dikgachoi and Pilkington who's seasons were also ruined by injury.

Adeyemi was injured the majority of the season! He wasn't fully fit when he was on the bench for those last 8 games and we also finished the season very well so it was difficult to drop anyone! Don't let these facts get in the way of your anti Slade drivel mind!

Not anti Slade drivel at all. Just believe that he should have had more game time last year particularly in view of our midfield was under performing. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and as such I believe he was under used like several other players, e.g. Kennedy.

Probably the most adept at a 442 out of the midfield players we have, O'Keefe probably the other.

And you obviously can't read ,where do I say he was injured all season
For the record I quoted niggly injuries ,but this doesn't suit your anti slade agenda
And history shows many players will sit on the bench with a slight niggle and would only come on in an emergency
If this was the case with adeymi it actually would prove that slade had confidence in adeymi to do a job for us even with a niggling injury
You try to state facts that are not facts as you have NO facts about adeymi,s fitness what so ever :sladein: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

In life you support comments with facts. The above facts are stats. If Slade is happy to have him sitting on a bench for 90 mins week in week out he must have been happy that he was able to play some part in a game. The fact is that he was not used other than the one 5 minute period. That is a fact. I will support any manager however it is quite clear that he was under used and I would have said the same if Ole had still been in charge.

Re: Tom Adeyimi

Fri Jul 03, 2015 7:53 am

Unused subs stats
At least 4 subs are unused every game
So how does that suit your facts / stats
As I said some on the bench will not always be 100% fit
And you can't see that this could be the reason adeymi didn't play so much
Slade may have actually been protecting one of our YOUNG players ffs :sladein: :bluescarf: :bluebird:
And still given him some confidence that he is rated by our manager

Re: Tom Adeyimi

You know what they say about stats. Theres lies, dam lies and then there's statistics.

Adeymi was never fit enough to give a proper shift. You are always trying to play catchup comming back in mid season and too much too soon can and often and will cause more or worse injury.Managing players eh?.Theres more to managing than shouting abuse at the manager when your teams not winning.Any idiot knows that or seemingly one doesn't.

Clearly not the player that Slade likes and adds credibility to my observation that he was under played in the last couple of months of the season. He does not fit into Slades immediate plans.

Fear this decision could come back and bite slades arse. Apparently was eager to start new season with us
