Are The Club Shooting Themselves In The Foot?

Wed Jul 01, 2015 1:09 pm

With the transfer window well and truly open and many Championship clubs doing good business are Cardiff shooting themselves in the foot with an over cautious approach in their efforts to sign quality players?

Yes the budget needed to be addressed but after the cull in the Jan transfer window how does the club intend to entice the 5K - 8K season ticket holders who have not renewed yet. Surely it's a fine balancing act between spending in your means and bringing in some quality to get into the promotion battle and the rewards of Premiership football and the money that goes with it.

There is still time to go and I hope that Slade manages to pull a few rabbits out of the hat but at this time it looks like we may have to settle for the bargain basement buys again and more dire football. What about the forgotten supporters who have not renewed because of the standard of the football? Do they want to come back and watch the same shambles as they did last season? Give the fans some hope and bring in a few quality players.

Since malky has left signings seem to come out of the blue the leaks have gone ,most of the linked players are more than likely paper talk the only one we know for sure is that slade has met the Newcastle player yesterday

Just hope that the club find a bit of quality to spark some interest and get some more fans to re new. Cardiff need the quality not only to get more numbers before the season kicks off but to improve performances and results which again will draw extra numbers. As it stands it could be a very long season.

Totally wrong Wez, The Hull City player and the Newcastle player were put out on here and Slades meetings with both of them, Slade was gobsmacked and rang 3 journalists to try and find out how they ended up on a forum.
You will never stop it all and people from within just caught keep it to themselves,

As to us selling players they are all for sale at a price.

Wez, most of the links have come from the most ridiculous sources - twitter, the sun, the mirror, Facebook, knock up transfer news websites. All have no creditability. To be fair to them I think Wales on line have only reported the most recent two as real links (nit suggestions), which seem to have some truth in them.
