I would certainly want him to go even if he got us promoted.

It sounds harsh I know but to have a chance of surviving in the Premier League I think you really need to have a manager with experience of managing in that league. I appreciate there are some without such experience doing a good job ( Gary Monk though it pains me to say it!) and others with the experience such as Steve Bruce were unable to keep their clubs in the division but I honestly think that a bit of experience of the league is essential.

I was a little worried about Malky to be honest when we went up and others like him (Poyet, Dyche, Di Canio, Roy Keane even) have all struggled without the experience of managing in that league.

Anyway it is a hypothetical question because as far as I can see Slade is way out of his depth in this league let alone a higher division!

Well it depends on what kind of approach a manager does when first promoted into the Prem I guess and we have to admit that we were always above the bottom three with Malky.

It's irrelevant really as Slade has absolutely no chance of getting us promoted. We will be mid table at best, and there is a better chance of me finding pixies at the bottom of my garden than Slade taking us up.

No disrespect but I think that you are dreaming there. It would be great if he could manage that but based on tactics, team selections and more importantly the abysmal football we play under him can you honestly see Slade leading us back to the promised land ?

Granted he has come in when the club have decided to tighten the purse strings but the style of football is dire and is very unlikely to get us anywhere near the top of the table particulary if the squad is not strengthened with 3/4 quality players.
