Slade had two lists revealed on here weeks ago with Slades A list having about 10 players to choose from, if Slade could not get his 3-4 targets from that list which is already seems unlikely due to his budget,then Slade will be turning to plan B very shortly.

All Slades main targets were on list A including Chris Woods from Leicester City, who looks like he is going to Leeds United and Quinn from Hull City,.

Quinn turned City down due to a 3 year contract and very high wages that Reading offered him, Quinn had sat down with Slade and discussed a contract with him.

Sammy Ameobi (on Slades A list)has also met Slade and discussed coming to Cardiff City.

It is believed that so far Slade has chatted to all his original 10 players on that were his list.

I take it Plan B is the cheaper alternatives.

I suspect he'll get to plan d or e but at least we're not shelling out stupid monies. I wonder if Quinn just remembers his antics, but then again, players do take into account the locality of their homes, and I doubt many will want to move down here if the old sweetners are not what they used to be.

Reading over the past few seasons have become a bigger more attractive club than Cardiff due to their yo yoing into the PL. and a lot closer to London

Not enough pace not enough goal scorers and not enough leaders/battlers for when the going gets tough. Big squad but not good enough at the moment. I think the Club is on the right lines though we just need three or four quality additions and I think we could be challenging for the play off positions.

The way things are going, we all should hope that Slade has a plan C and D

Think we are doing the right thing in waiting to offload players before any come in personally. We cant afford to be stuck with some big earners

Problem is we are beginning to gather a list of players Slades already brought in who haven't set the world alight.

I won't name the best or worst of his signings but in reality the ones who have really impressed are in the minority.

Didn't talk that much for Bournemouth. They had players from the lower leagues and were excellent all season, I don't think it's a case of money with us just the squad needs managing. However we do need one or two quality signings

If Ameobi is on the 'plan A' list, I'd dread to see the firepower on the alternative list

He'll need plan Z players to sign for him

Still find it hard to believe any of this as any club knows shout your mouth off about a player you are interested in and wake other clubs up so I do not believe it to be honest. We haven't been that daft since Sam and Ridsdale use to do it .

Just have to wait and see but any player who comes here and plays in that blue shirt will get my support as we may get a gem from the lower leagues.
