Nottingham Forest take strikers Nicky Maynard and Paul Taylor on trial

Nottingham Forest are to give Nicky Maynard and Paul Taylor an opportunity to earn themselves a contract.
The strikers are both set to join the club on trial for two weeks as the players step up their pre-season preparations.
Boss Dougie Freedman is keen to bolster his attacking options, with record signing Britt Assombalonga set to be sidelined until next year.
Forest held an interest in Maynard during Billy Davies' first spell in charge, after the player had built his reputation scoring a flurry of goals for Crewe and Bristol City.
But the 28-year-old has seen his career stutter, following a succession of injury problems. He joined West Ham in January 2012 for around £1.6m but his stay in London was a brief one, as he moved to Cardiff for £2.5m the following summer.
The player has started only six league games for the Welsh side since then, although did have a loan spell at Wigan.
It is not his ability he will have to prove, but his fitness following numerous injury problems that have blighted his progress, which began when he damaged the ACL in his knee just a few weeks into his Cardiff career.
Taylor was seen as a bright prospect after scoring 12 goals in 38 league starts and ten sub appearances for Peterborough, with Manchester United said to be monitoring his progress.
That led to a £1.5m move to Ipswich in August 2012, but he has made only seven league starts for the Tractor Boys.
And Taylor, who can play in a number of positions, has since failed to score during loan spells with Peterborough, Rotherham and Blackburn.

That Paul Taylor ripped us to shreds a few seasons ago.Think it was when he was at Peterboro. Looked class that night
