You'd be Suprised how many people actually go it's very popular for British people
I've been there once and it is a very nice place to go.

Just what's happened is ridiculous but let's be honest that could happen anywhere in the world at any time right now unfortunately the world is screwed and with what's going on there looks like the worse is yet to come

Not quite.

Blazing has a point. Tunisia is a 98% Muslim nation that actively courts the Western Worlds Dollar, Pound and Euro. This is something IS will target all day long.

I suppose you should not bow down to terrorism but you may want to think before you consider some of the favourite Brit destinations outside Europe that have large muslim populations. Places like Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey.

Turkey is partly in Europe. Along with London and Paris, Istanbul in my opinion is now the most at risk city in Europe. London and Paris will obviously be targeted due to how they see the Western world but Istanbul is a gateway from Asia to Europe and close to Syria itself. Furthermore, Erdogan is pro Islam which will make combatting extremism in Turkey extremely difficult. I think there will be many attacks across Turkey in the next couple of years, especially in Ankara and Istanbul.

How long before something happens in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?

It won't. Who do you think is helping them? It's also one of the main reasons Turkey isn't getting completely decimated on a regular basis. Turkey only gets off fairly lightly because its pro-Islam (Erdogan is an Islamist), a gateway into Europe for extremists and doesn't speak out against the extremists. Turkey is essentially the equivalent of a bouncer who lets everyone in, regardless of how problematic they are on the door, to avoid getting the flack themselves - its damage limitation. They let them through in the hope they'll move on to other European countries and cause carnage in those countries where less Muslims reside. The first step should be an economic boycott of Turkey whilst AKP are in power and for the EU to put a massive iron curtain with military support along the border.

Yes, but they get very little in comparison to what they could. According to various reports, there are sleeper cells in Ankara, Istanbul and other Turkish cities. If Turkey was pro European as opposed to pro Islam and conservative in terms of the government and pushed ahead with joining the EU and instilling western liberal values, then Turkey would be getting blown to pieces.

I don't think any country is safe from an IS attack, whatever historical agreements have been in place. These immature scumbags are changing the rules.

Turkey is a rogue state. Pro-Islamic in many ways, though officially secular. Long history of military coups . Important NATO member. Useful to the United States, when the yanks want to intervene in the region. Sort of swings both ways, between Islam and the west. Very dangerous.
