' FIRST PROPOSED BID FOR CITY CENTRE HALF '

Fri Jun 26, 2015 4:07 pm

Adedeji Oshilaja, City's young centre half, is the subject of a proposed £200k bid from AFC Wimbledon. I was told earlier that Wimbledon are ready to make the bid.

Oshilaja spent time on loan at Wimbledon, managed by former City academy manager Neal Ardley.

The youngster is probably the fifth or sixth choice centre half at City and may just welcome the move.

It would be a good because Neal Ardley coached him in the Academy. :thumbright:

If we can get 200k for him then I would take it. Don't like to see young players go but that's a decent fee for what he is worth. :ayatollah:

I think this would be a mistake, I can see him going on to be a top championship defender in a few years .

Sign him up long term and loan him out again but to a championship side if he's not going to play this year , next season he will be ready to fight for a starting place with us :ayatollah:

True but I would only loan him to a team that is willing to pay his wages. Our wage bill is big enough without us paying for a player to play for another team in the hope he might be a good player! :ayatollah: :sladein:

Not the kind of player we want to be losing, it's the mediocre players on big wages we need to move on not our bright young talent. I'd rather sell them Morrison.

Surely his wages are a drop in the ocean to our overall outgoings on wages?

Loan him first for season first and see how he does keep him in case he becomes really good

Heard good things when he was at Newport.

Id like to see him as back up and lost 1 or 2 of the bigger earners gone.
