To be fair annis ,he had loads of chances but fluffed them last season with us

Could be a huge player for us. Confidence back from his goal exploits at Bolton. Might have a sneaky bet on him being Championship top scorer

He had a run of 20 games last season, but I hope we can get him back with us in some sort of his normal form, as he is a proven goal scorer.

I don't know why you think it's the strikers, the service they were getting was dog sh*te! Spend all you want on strikers but it's the midfield that's been the problem.

No no no, one of the worst players to wear a city shirt. He was awful 'old Alfie'... For some reason people loved him, blamed Slade, Tan and the cosmos for him being rated the worst player statistically in the Championship. It was nobody's fault when he was clear on goal or six yards out and missed horribly. Please no!

Le Fondre scores for other clubs, its all about how you play to his strengths.

Sorry but I think you're mistaken - have to agree with others, he had a massive run as first pick and missed many, many decent chances.
His form had absolutely nothing to do with our style of play - style of play is irrelevant to a striker in a goal-scoring situation, he either scores or doesn't, and if he doesn't he is either on target or not. Sadly for Le Fondre it was mostly the latter.
Personally I think he is an intelligent footballer - but his main job is to score goals and he didn't for us. Others say he never settled here and wants to live up North - that may be the case, who knows, we are all complex human beings, but we can analyse all we like, he's had his chance and I'd have Doyle in there every day of the week for a fraction of the money.

I agree he did miss a few sitters last season but on the other hand he had very poor service. We have not got enough creativity in the team. He is a proven goalscorer who has scored at every other club he has been at. Deserves a go but it looks that he wants to leave the club.
Fri Jun 26, 2015 10:59 am
I went to millwall away last season and saw him miss one of the biggest sitters ever seen.Forde saved a shot but it bounced out to le fonder 3 yards out and he hit it straight at the keeper who was sprawled out on the floor!! Service has been poor but he misses far to many chances-get rid of him.
Fri Jun 26, 2015 11:28 am
lets be fair, Alfie had more than his fair share and looked pretty shyte. Birmingham and Millwall away he missed from 1 yard lol
In saying that the pi*s poor service from midfield, or shall we call them second defence cos they are so bstard deep, would make even the best striker struggle

I completely agree with that.
If LeFondre hadn't been getting chances then that could be blamed on Slade/OGS and their tactics. However, he appeared virtually undroppable by both of them yet missed some absolute sitters.
Sometimes it's easy to blame Slade but on this occasion the player has to take some responsibility. Tactics don't account for missing open goals from 3 yards out

Proven goal scorer he is but the he needs to want to be here,I don't think he does.

To be fair le Fondre was giving plenty of games. Missed loads of chances and for me I see no problem in us selling him if we can get our money back. He has been vocal about how much he enjoyed his loan spell. I have not heard an ounce to say he is charged and fired up to play for city. I would have thought if he wanted to be here he would make some sort of statement.
Fri Jun 26, 2015 2:01 pm
He had plenty of service he just missed them for us, If he scores with other clubs and not with us then it is clear he doesn't like playing for us so why try and force a player stay let him go FFS.
I understand some on here saying about Guera didn't have a chance but that can not be said about Lefondre Slade gave him more chances than any striker
