Ashes begins soon, any predictions, the first Test in Cardiff.
I fancy Australia to win the series 4-1.

I reckon a drawn series, meaning the Aussies will retain the urn. The Aussies don't have match winners like Pontin,Warne, McGrath and Gilchrist any more and we are showing some signs of improvement from admittedly what seemed until recently a hopeless position.

Forgot about the weather.....so will change my 4-1 to 3-1.
Clarke,Smith, and Warner are potentially match winners in my humble opinion.

smith is probably the best batsman in the world at the moment.

Smith,yes without a doubt.
Depends on how they play against Mitchell Johnson as he destroyed them in Australia, will of course be different conditions and a different ball.
Looking forward to it,love my cricket.

I saw the second day of the last Ashes test in Cardiff - it was a brilliant atmosphere and we watched Ponting and someone else whose name escapes me get centuries. I think it will be a lot closer than some are predicting. The Aussies to retain the Ashes, but England to win the one day series for me.

Johnson struggles away from Australia. I reckon he'll be the least of England's worries. England will be competitive but Australia will win with relative ease. I'm predicting 3-1 or 2-0.

I've got 2 days, can't wait. Love my cricket.
