Having to shave 12 million off the wage bill because of the enormous mess created by Ole, stabilising us and finishing the season with playoff form from February onwards ending in a respectable 11th place gives me plenty of optimism that he's starting to sort out our mess. Drastically cutting our budget whilst gradually improving us at the same time is no easy task for any manager!
Slade will probably improve us even more next season once more of Ole's bottlers are shipped out and more of his own players are brought in, players with the correct attitude to improve us and succeed. This will of course be to the annoyance of the majority of our pathetic fans. I personally hope Slade proves you all wrong and makes you all look very silly.

Slades football is shocking !!! Irrespective of players they play hoof ball , there was a very good reason he was never a championship manager

Slades football was shocking...with a squad Ole built! Did our football, performances and results improved when Slade brought in some of his own players? Didn't we control the game away to Forest until Marshall got sent off? Didn't we win at Brentford with 9 men and have consecutive away wins on the bounce from Slade improving us?

Speaking of clueless.. How many Malky signings, Ole signings and his own did Old Slade use as regular starter "steadying" this ship?

The only positions of the team Slade didn't sign a player for last season was a goalkeeper and centre back. Slade brought in:
Left back - Malone
Right back - Peltier
Centre Midfield - O'Keefe
Winger - Kennedy and McAleny
Striker - Doyle and Revell
Slade started the majority of these players more often than not too, quite a transformation to our starting line up, and a transformation to our form since these players came into our team. Slade has since brought in centre back Semi Ajayi, so he's signed a player for every outfield position already. That reflects very well on the team of flops Ole blew millions on doesn't it?
Or even Jones signings?Wed Jun 24, 2015 9:00 pm

Didnt answer the question there did you. Just put out some more rubbish. No he didnt start them more often than not. some of them hardly kicked a ball. And how about them Malky signings? Forgot them?
Or even Jones signings?
Truth is, Slade had more players to choose from than he could ever dream of. "steadying the ship" Jesus Christ..

Congratulations on realising every manager goes into a club inheriting a squad of players left from a mixture of previous managers previously at that club.![]()
The truth is only Manga, Daehli, Jones and Fabio (just about) have proven to be decent signings by Ole. The rest of Ole's signings who cost our club millions of pounds, contributed to us embarrassingly finish bottom without a fight in the Premiership, and then 17th in the Championship.
Slade has shipped out some of Ole's mercenaries on big wages and replaced them with players for a fraction of the cost with transfer fees and wages, plus improved our form to stop us getting sucked into a relegation battle. That is what you call "steadying the ship".
Ole was a disaster and it'll take us a while to recover from his short reign. I really don't know what goes on in your head for you to argue against these facts. I read another post of yours saying you think we would have finished in the playoffs if Ole wasn't sacked. Are you deliberately trying to embarrass yourself with your drivel to provoke reactions? I'm not wasting any more time with you tonight anyway!

They say they want to support the team/club but the more we support this buffoon we push ourselves deeper into the mire. In my opinion a true supporter would recognise how damaging yhis chap is for the club and continue to campaign for his removal. Any encouragement we give him will hasten our demise in football terms. Fan power can be very influential, we are just too prissy over here to use it like our foreign friends. And for the record, Ole and Malky were crap too. We haven't been blessed with any serious managerial quality for ages
