Russell Slade and Mehmet Dalman have had a four-hour meeting to thrash out Cardiff City's plans to strengthen their squad for next season.
Manager Slade and chairman Dalman met yesterday and City are moving to close in on their targets.
Club owner Vincent Tan flew Slade out to Malaysia for face-to-face talks earlier this month and the three men have now established a firm transfer budget and identified targets.
Tan and Dalman have made it clear that promotion back to the Premier League is a must and the pressure is on for Slade’s team to make a strong start to a new Championship season which starts against Fulham at home on Saturday, August 8.
Neither Slade or Dalman would comment on their meeting, but there are likely to be at least three new signings including a winger and dominant central midfield player.

Based on the club's recent transfer dealings I cannot see how they hope to achieve their target when it is said "Promotion is. Must".
I believe that you need a team playing as a team including some quality players to get promoted. Unfortunately for the last 6 months at least we have not been playing as a team & much of our quality has been sold.
Just hope that some quality is bought during the transfer window along with some players who will give 100%. You would think that if promotion is a must then the club would spend a bit on decent players rather than picking up bargain basement deals towards the end of the transfer window. Time will tell.
