Malaga want experienced Spanish striker Javi Guerra back from Cardiff City
Football 24/7
Javi Guerra is regarded as the priority attacking target for Malaga, if they can agree terms again with Cardiff City.
Injuries were a problem for Guerra during his loan spell, in the second half of the 2014-15 campaign, but when he returned to fitness, form was impressive towards the end of the season.
Monday 22nd June 2015
Following their flurry of attacking sales, with Juanmi heading to Southampton, plus the double departures of Samu Castillejo and Samuel Garcia to Villarreal, there's a definite need for Malaga to reinforce their forward lines.
Malaga fans have been left feeling hugely disappointed, with the exit of such promising young stars, especially local lads who came up through the youth academy of the Costa del Sol club.
As the sports directive of Malaga now look to rebuild, the opportunity for 33-year-old striker Javi Guerra to make a return to La Rosaleda for the 2015-16 season, is now gathering pace according to Diario SUR.
Although he's been ordered to report for pre-season training at Cardiff City, the Spaniard remains uncertain about his future with the Championship club, but as far as Diario SUR are concerned, Guerra returning to his hometown club is now a priority objective for Malaga, given the recent departures.
The experience Guerra can offer the Malaga team is regarded as a key factor, whilst his positional flexibility is also seen as important, given that along with playing as a centre-forward, he can also operate in wider positions or a deeper role in the attack.
What remains now is for the two clubs to agree a format for the operation. Malaga appear open to any options, whether that's another loan deal or a permanent switch, although the ball is very much in the court of Cardiff at the moment.
Should Cardiff release Guerra back to Malaga?

If Slade has no intention of playing him for what ever reason he has then it's a bit pointless keeping him, if we can get a fee for him all the better. Still think he wasn't given a chance. I know he was poor in the cup game against Bournemouth but who wasn't that night? We could have pulled 11 fans from their seats and got a better performance!

And we are looking at £3 strikers when potentially we have one of the best with La Fondre and Guerra.
Something big has to have happened doesn't add up at all

I agree, this farce should never have happened but I think it's broken beyond repair. May as well focus on players that want to play for us now. However, saying that,I would take them both back in a heartbeat.

Sell both Le Fondre and Guerra, Guerra is 33 and Le Fondre has no interest in playing for us. Recoup their wages

Broken because of Young, at the bournemouth game, they were pinging balls at guerra at 150mph, and he was supposed to do something with them? keep Guerra and get rid of Young

I have to agree and with Slade also not even willing to give him a chance,Guerra was never going to get a run of games.

Neither of them want to be here, both on 30k plus. Adds up perfectly

Just get rid of him. Please. I'm tired of hearing his name now.

Not surprised they don't want to be here the way slade has treated them.

He's not one for us, whatever the reason- personally I think it has virtually nothing to do with Slade and everything to do with costs and Spanish unhappiness.

Slade is wary of quality remember and Young wouldn't know what it was if it bit him in the arse. Guerra would suffer badly if he stayed here. He is too good for us.

What you've never had you don't miss. Goodbye Mr Guerra.
And Le Fondre clearly doesn't want to play for us, whatever the reason. Give both away to get their wages off the books.
