Cardiff's Millennium Stadium set for 2017 coup?

The Welsh city staged six FA Cup finals between 2001 and 2006 as well as last August's Super Cup and the proposal has lots of support at UEFA.

Cardiff is close to landing another major coup for Welsh football with the Millennium Stadium set to stage the 2017 Champions League final, writes Steve Bates in the Sunday People.
UEFA's top brass are understood to favour a return to Wales after the city successfully hosted the Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla at the Cardiff City Stadium last August.
Next season’s Champions League final will be held in the Italian city of Milan, but it is believed the Millennium Stadium is in pole position to land the 2017 showpiece.

I hope so, our city has staged some of the biggest sporting events in recent years and should UEFA decide to give it to Cardiff it'll be a great success.

radio wales reprting it is set for MS! usually sure bet as look silly if not given to us when media reports it ,

Agree. The recent Wales performances and the Belgium game were spectacles that will only help establish the city as a major sports venue.

The decision/vote will be held next week I believe.
After attending the superb Super Cup final, I wouldn't mind a bit of the Champions League Final!!

Really hope we do. Strange thing is i could drink then thats mad but i can't wait if we do get the champions league final will be great
