Question

My question is this... .has Slade got the managerial pedigree to attract quality players to our club?in my opinion the answer is "No"

I don't think he has
Although....

Does he have designs on becoming a manager
Where promising talent gets nurtured?

Tan earned his money by buying and then selling at a profit
He obviously thinks he can do this with Slade in charge

We have taken young uns from Everton and arsenal plus some battlers to fight in the championship.

Slades flaw is imposing 4 4 2 on a squad geared for different formation and style of play. Thus the dross served in many games

I dont think he would know what to do with one anyway.

Players will.go where the money is though.

Dreading next season under him

I don't think we will sign any big names under him with experience and quality he doesn't have that pulling power, but he is capable of picking up a youngster with quality like Kennedy from Everton. The only problem then though even if we do get some quality players in, will we play any better under Slade.

I'm not a great fan of Slade and don't personally believe he will deliver 'the dream' for club or fans

However, he does appear to have the support of his players, as the upturn in form (particularly away from home) might indicate

As always, I will support the team and not the manager, in the hope that something magical will happen! ;)

At this point it doesn’t matter what his pedigree is when it comes to attracting players.

We could have the cream of Europe chomping at the bit to come here. If Tan won’t pay for them, we don’t get them.

Slade is doing the most appropriate thing. Bargain hunting. It’s 100% the right strategy, there are good players hovering under the radar, worth taking a punt on.

If you were Tan, would you throw money at yet another manager when you’ve been burned and lost money with the previous two? Lets take a season to get stability, see what we can make of the youth and the freebies, and then decide if investment is worth it.

There’s no point splashing out on big names now (even if we could get them) because we don’t have the stability to support them. Bring them in when we have a core of youngsters and battlers and have maybe made a bit of money on some of the freebies we’ve brought in.

Time will tell. One thing is certain, there'll be plenty of people on here that think they know better.

Matthew Kennedy looks to have the quality needed, as did Connor McAleny before he got injured.

I would say Slade did very well in the transfer market, his main problem is lack of tactics.

Peltier - excellent replacement for Brayford while making money
Kennedy - looks an excellent find, must start next season
McAleny - hopefully we can re sign him permanently
O'Keefe - started slowly, could be down to lack of match practise but played well towards the end of the season, including forest away which was an excellent team performance
Doyle - started slowly again but once Jones went and he got his chance he scored a few goals and looked decent enough

YES, with the right backing form the fans!

Money talks, if they get a contract with very high wages then they wont care who is the manager at all.

Tan will dictate the quality of players we can sign by making the money available. Or not as the case may be.

Yet peltier is the only one he wanted to play every week (unless injured)
