Chris Baird: Derby County sign Northern Ireland defender

Derby County have signed Northern Ireland international defender Chris Baird on a two-year contract.
The 33-year-old, who has 72 caps, left Premier League side West Bromwich Albion at the end of the season.
Baird, who played 24 times for the Baggies last term, becomes the fifth player to join the Rams since new manager Paul Clement took charge.
"He is an excellent professional and an important addition on the pitch and in the dressing room," Clement said.
Baird began his career with Southampton and also played for Fulham, Reading and Burnley before joining Albion in July 2014.
Derby have already signed Darren Bent, Alex Pearce, Scott Carson and Andreas Weimann since the end of last season.

Annis the look very string on paper, big it could go badly wrong for them. Lots of high earners and egos in one team. I fear they won't like going to Rotherham on a cold Tuesday night if they are not in a promotion hunt.

I'm not sure about Derby. They remind me of ccfc under Dave Jones. Good players but no stomach for a battle. They have taken a big gamble appointing paul clement. Good record as a number 2 but totally unproven as a manager at championship level.

Signing Ince permanently and Wiemann is 100% strengthening at this level. They've just got themselves a fantastic new head coach, I'd expect them to be right up there this coming season.

2 players out of how many? Ince couldn't find higher level club so open n to debate how well he will do!

Open to debate how well Ince can do?! Are you serious? He's proven at this level. They've added Darren Bent, Alex Pearce, Chris Baird, Scott Carson and Andreas Wiemann. Not bad at all at this level. 100% strengthened.

Hi James, are you sure you're not swansealad in disguise  it's probably your phone doing predictive text whilst you're typing but I would check what you type before sending ;-) :ayatollah:
Just to keep on topic, I think Derby are going to be a force this season.
