Derby & Others Strengthen Early

Looks like Derby are really going for it again this season having already signed Darren Bent, Alex Pearce and Scott Carson they are now set to sign Andreas Weimann from Aston Villa. Money doesn't guarantee success but they look strong on paper.

Quite a few of the other teams that are likely to be near the top are also strengthening early. (Wolves, Brentford & Forest)

just depends on who is available that suits the club involved that dictates how early teams are strengthened! other clubs are doing opposite and getting rid players, football is football a merry go round

We strengthened early last season and look what happened there.

I wouldn't say they have strengthened that much, Bent was already there last season, and I don't think Pearce is that great. Weismann would be an excellent signing though I think.

I think we will see a few more players leave before we start bringing people in

£2million for Weimann and Slade is looking to pay £4 million for Daryl Murphy.
