Semi signs for Cardiff City after being released by Arsenal.

Nigeria U21 international defender signs for the Bluebirds following successful loan spell...

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Arsenal FC for the transfer of Semi Ajayi, subject to international clearance.

The 21 year-old central defender - a Nigerian U21 international – has signed for the Bluebirds on a permanent deal until the summer of 2017.

Whilst with the Gunners, he was an unused substitute in Barclays Premier League victories over Newcastle United and Stoke City and in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Hull City, while Semi also appeared on the substitutes bench for City in the away win against Nottingham Forest on the final day of the 2014/15 campaign.

I know it doesn't count for anything but he was quality for me on FIFA...

Hahaha. Anyone got any better idea on him?

Someone must follow the development squad on here??

looked very good for the dev team. scored 2 on his debut. commanding centerback who can play the DM position aswell as looked good on the ball. im chuffed we got him and think we need more players like this.
my only worry tho is, is it a replacement for Manga

Saw the development game when he scored twice and he looked very promising. More likely a replacement for Connolly I'd say.

A really good signing maybe????

A player with lots of potential - definately a double bubble player if handled correctly.
He will possibly turn into a £3-4mill type sale in 2 seasons plus will be an asset while here.

i like it

I know nothing about this chap, but coming from arsenal, he must have something about him. Hopefully, he's pushing for a first team place quickly, and turns out to be a gem for us

That's a very bold statement. I'm assuming you've watched him play to come to the conclusion he could be a 3-4 million player in 2 seasons? If so, would you mind telling us what sort of defender he is? Arsenal fans once dubbed him "the next Sol Campbell". Do you see similarities to Sol? He looks commanding, pacey, powerful, but perhaps a little rough around the edges from the highlights I've seen of him in development games. A rough diamond who we could polish perhaps?

You just asked him a question and told him the answer about 3 times

My opinion is based on the HIGHLIGHTS I have seen of him. Eddie did a post making a bold statement that he could be worth between 3-4 million in 2 seasons, suggesting he has seen him play LIVE i.e. a FULL 90 MINUTES, so he can form a MORE ACCURATE OPINION THAN MYSELF.

I hope that now clarifies my post?

I suppose we cant wrong here, as weve paid nothing for him as Arsenal released him and he's a freebie on low wages.
