" CARDIFF CITY TO MAKE FIRST BID & CITY PLAYER TO LEAVE "
All I know is Slade is back from his holidays over the weekend and will be back at the City on Monday to meet Dalman.
Just been told another player will be leaving next week and City will make there first official bid for a player.
I honestly don't know who.

We still have so much deadwood. Dissapointed we havent got rid of more players. Wages probably a problem.

Wages will be a massive problem. Players like Kenwyne on £40k a week, who's going to take him? Bet City couldn't believe it when Bournemouth came in for a short term loan. Wish it was a deal that was agreed that they had to sign him if they were promoted!

about time, the players will be back for pre season soon and we have no new faces

We are doing things much more sensible now than in the last couple of summers.

Luke, I do agree more players have to go as long as its not players like Fabio & Manga etc
We also need to bring quality in

Stavros, thats our problem our players are on beyond wages and at the same time Tan wants fees for them, thats going to be hard as clubs in the Championship have been cutting back.

Yes, agree that wages are a stumbling block. Might have to accept cut price fees which could mean selling more players than we initially anticipated.
I'm not too concerned at the lack of transfer activity yet. A lot of clubs haven't started yet. Just nervous about who will leave. Manga and Gunnarsson are the only must-keep ones in my opinion. The likes of Marshall, Fabio, Whittingham, and Noone etc can be replaced but, for me, Manga (as the defensive organiser) and Gunnarsson (as my choice for captain) are the two we must keep.

Steve, the prob is Tan wants wages cut,but at the same time wants transfers fees to recoup his money, but we bought badly on many of them.

It's the same every season where City always seem to be slow off the blocks. Many other Championship clubs have done transfer business but we always seem to be way behind. I suppose this year more than ever we will be looking for cheap bargains.
In an ideal world it would be great to bring players in early ready for pre season not when the season has already started and it's a game of catch up.

Also one of the reasons given why city didn't do so well last season was given as a poor pre-season by Ole.We need to have a good one this year so we can hit the ground running.

We have bought badly for years.
Fees, wages and bonuses - i respect malky garnet still, and he came when we had no squad but he was a key
part in this spending along with our management from the orient.
Solskjaer was equally as bad with other peoples cheque books.
Ironically, we now have a manager from the Orient (in Leyton)!
Tough job coming in to fire sale the deadwood or anyone who can command a price.
No future for him as he will never get respect for balancing the books as he just appears soooo
much of a yes man that it grinds us fans. Plus the football really needs to improve its quality.

I think if we keep the main starting squad together get them all fit and add a striker and a winger/ play maker I think we could do well this year

My worry is he seems injury prone. Either thaylt or slade didnt seem to want to play him often. I assume he was injured tho.

bournemouth took him for a start.
he will have takers, but teams will not want to pay a substantial fee for him due to his wages.
