A forum for all things Cardiff City

Middlesborough fans turned up to watch their playoff semi against Brentford, and yet some gates were as low as 14',000 during the season.
30,000 Coventry City fans squeezed into the Ricoh for they J.P game against Crewe when some crowds were as low as 8,000.
My point is are football supporters just really fickle or is this endemic of most sports?

Happens at Welsh rugby too.

Good point. I know Welsh Rugby crowds would suffer considerably on one issue (more than the cost of a ticket) and that is if they banned achohol at the stadium. If the rules were identical to football I think it could knock up to 10,000 off the gate.
