Would you take 7th

If you were offered city to finish 7th now would you take it.

7th or even 8th would be disappointing as it would probably mean us just missing out on the play- offs. I'd take 9th or tenth though.

Yes. Would give us belief for the next season with a good spine.

Based on the current squad/ manager and tactics I would take 14th-21st.

Really need to strengthen in certain areas otherwise it could be a long hard season.

Definitely would. Personally, I think we will finish somewhere between 15th & 20th with our current set up. I honestly can't see us getting a sniff of the play offs, but could all change by start of season depending if any quality signings that are made.

Tend to agree with this certainly don't think we're going be in a relegation battle. People seem to forget we were in pretty decent form from February onwards. Think were in a group of teams that will feel they can claim a playoff spot without ever challenging for automatic.

Been there done that. Ending up 7th is painfull as your so close would prefer the Play-offs.

Then again play-offs was painfull as hell I will take 1st

I wouldn't take 7th. For me the play offs is the least we should get. If Slade plays the right team and keeps and signs the right players hopefully we'll do good. We were in the prem not long ago and that is were we should be aiming to be because that's what all city fans deserve.

This time last year people on here were saying we had the division's strongest squad although it was obvious that we had the biggest, nowhere near the strongest. Some are saying similar things again, but when you look at our probable line up as things presently stand, our team is not going to strike much fear into many of the other championship sides. I would say our squad is no stronger than this time last year. The bookies have us as 6-1 for relegation, some as low as 11-2, and they are not usually far out.

No chance. Slade has to deliver top6 in my opinion. I know he's had to balance the books for tan ect, but still. He needs to deliver something for the fans to get onboard.

I no it's a pretty sore subject bringing malky up.....and I don't usually, but he delivered a top6 Finnish in his first year, with a lot less resources, so no excuses IMO, he's had enough time after the summer is over to assemble a squad to get a top6 finnish

For a recently relegated team, I would be gutted to not be in with a shout come April.

Playoffs ,typical Cardiff fans talking our chances down ,there was a massive improvement away ftomvhome last season and to finish where we did with the cost cutting and change of manager and all the protests from fans shows that squad is good enough. With a good preseason and a few more transfers we really have got a good squad

Yes, any improvement on last season shows progress. 10th or above is the minimum expectation.

I wouldn't take it offered now as we should be aiming for play offs, but come the end of the season it would be an improvement so it wouldn't be a disaster
