£2m was rumoured last summer? They need to sell Tabanou or whatever to Swansea to fund this move?

I think he could of been very good in the Championship last season. Yes, when he played for us in the Prem, his concentration levels and his positioning were poor, but I really think that if he had of spent a year playing regularly in the Championship with us last season, it would have made him into a much better player. You see quite a few foreigners these days who have had a poor season and gotten relegated to the Champ with their team, then have a very good season in the Champ get promoted back to the Prem and become a much better player for it. I remember a similar thing happened when Newcastle signed Coloccini, he was crap in his first spell in the Prem, but when he returned to the Prem with Nwcadtle, after having a season in the Champ, he started to show the quality needed to be a good Premier League defender and over the past few seasons he has been Mr Reliable for Newcastle.
Anyway, Kevin has left us permanently now and I'm sure we will all wish him the very best for the future.
Bloooooobirds.
PS/ I would have thought a fee between £1m-£2.5m would have been good enough for us to accept.

Theophile-Catherine leaves Cardiff City to join Saint Etienne
Cardiff City defender Kevin Theophile-Catherine has joined Saint Etienne on a three-year deal.
The 25-year-old French defender spent last season on loan at the Ligue One side and became a regular, playing 42 games for the French club.
Theophile-Catherine joined Cardiff from Rennes for £2.1m in August 2013 on a four-year deal.
"We're very pleased to have reached an agreement with Cardiff," said Saint Etienne president Roland Romeyer.
"Given the standard of his performances, the option to buy was a priority for us and his versatility is a valuable asset to the team."
Reports in the French press say Saint Etienne have paid euros 2m (£1.45m) for Theophile-Catherine.

A good move for the lad, & probably another high earner off the books.
