2 million new bid!

Mon Jun 15, 2015 7:09 am

Set to come in for Mason, say some reports! should we be selling any of our good players to teams you would think we will be in a playoff battle with? I know we need to bring money in and balance the books a little, but he's not one of the highest paid here, and will be a good sqaud player next season, but money talks, and guess we will cash in :bluebird:

I hate selling our best players when we should have aspirations of promotion but I'm not sure Mason is one of them.
You really think we'll be battling in the playoffs next season?

I agree that mason isn't one of our best players ,I honestly think we will be battling for promotion this season there were big signs of improvement in the 2nd half of the season

I think if we can hold on to most of our players, bring in a few and give one or two of the younger lads games, ie John why not

Work rate and togetherness will be key, only worry I have is are the players behind Slade, and do they beleave in him, time will tell on that one, but yes I think we can but for me the key is being much better at home.

Would bite their hand off for 2m. Sell, sell, sell, take the the money and run.

No way is Mason worth anywhere near 2m. Mason had the opportunity to hold down a place at both Cardiff and Bolton but was unable to hold a first team place. Not a prolific goal scorer so anywhere near 2m would be good business for the club.mto think of all the quality players that have been given away. I believe that Daehli went for something like 2m! No comparison.

Mason is absolutely overrated by our fans, and if that kind of money is being offered for him, I'd bite their hands off.

totally agree 2 million can buy a better striker at this level

Thats assuming that the money raised from the sale of Mason or any other player would be added to what is already a pre-detirmined budget.

Exactly. Whatever fee we might get is no benefit to us . Unless it is re-invested in good players.

Mason is an okay player, I do not see him as an out an out striker though and for 2 million i'd take it.

I value Mason at around 800k, so I think 2 million is an unbelievable offer we can't turn down.

Take the money and run.

£2m for Mason would be great business for a striker that last season we didn't see as having a future at the club. As regards selling to play off rivals; not so sure we'll be in the top 6 next season. Not with Slade in charge.
