What Type of Striker Do We Need????

Personally, I feel that we are crying out for a goalscorer with great pace. We haven't got a striker like that in the First Team Squad. I think we should be looking to add a lot more pace throughout the entire side this summer, so I hope the majority of our new signings that we hope to bring to the club, have got pace in abundance. That is why we should be going for strikers just like Dwight Gayle rather than Daryl Murphy. We have got Revell, Doyle, Mason, Macheda, Jones, and not one of them have any pace whatsoever. It's about time that we invested in a quick striker that is going to cause sheer panic in the oppositions defence every single time that he is on the move. He also needs to play on the shoulders of the oppositions defenders. That is why we should be looking to bring in a striker of that ilke, as he would be totally different to any of the strikers that we have in our main squad. Hopefully, after bringing in the pacey striker, we are able to move on the strikers that are surplus to requirements, players like Revell, Macheda and Jones - only because of Jones' huge wages. We also need to move on some of the players that play in other areas of the pitch, as I still feel like we have too many players in our first team. I would like to see a few of the U-21 players like Adedeji Oshilaja, David Tutonda, Tom James, Rhys Healey and one or two more, promoted to the first team and to see them get some game time, as I do not see the point in having an academy if we are not going to give some of the younger and inexperienced players some game time and I don't mean just in cup games. We have to take a few gambles with some of the kids and put one or two on the bench and bring them on for the last few minutes or whatever. Years ago we always had a few kids promoted to the main squad and they were given a chance here and there but it doesn't seem to happen at the City anymore. Every single season I see a good few clubs in the Championship and even in League 1 or 2 blooding a few of their youngsters and some of them have gone on to become fantastic players. We desperately need to start doing this as soon as possible as we cannot rely on splashing the cash all the time. Sorry for going a bit off topic but it's frustrating to see some quality young players in the U21's, unable to make the breakthrough to the first team because the club have just signed a player that is no better than some of the younger players at the club, who could have played and done a good enough job to have saved us a few hundred thousand pound or possibly even a seven figure sum. The type of manager that I would love to have in charge would be someone who every season would promote 3 or 4 youngsters up to the main squad, who gave them games and who turned them into quality players, while at the same time saving us a bit of money. The academy is one of the most important parts of any football club and most clubs in the Championship and in a few of the other leagues, they all know it and they take advantage of it, but at our club we just do not seem to grasp or understand it.

Pace pace and more pace

We need more than one that's for certain in an ideal world a Goalscorer with pace and a big man who's able to hold the ball up be good in the air and score a few goals.

Personally is like us to sign Nahki Wells and a big man to partner him up top mason and Revell are both fine for the bench try to bring Healey into the first team aswell next year as for the rest of our strikers get rid.
