EURO 2016 home nations

Sat Jun 13, 2015 4:01 pm

For the first time in absolutely ages there is a strong possibility that all the home nations will make it to EURO 2016. Personally I think this would be awesome. Would mean brilliant banter, a summer of everyone talking football in Britain and a chance to measure up with the other teams in the UK. Hope it happens. :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Would be even better if England failed to qualify

Just a shame that the Irish are unlikely to be joining us! They're always a great laugh at international tournaments.

Personally I don't think that Scotland or Rep of Ireland will qualify as there is also Poland and Germany in their group and I think they will have a better chance to qualify.

Are they? I'm not too fussed about the Irish, to be honest. Never bought the argument that they're this amazing set of fans that brighten everyone's day. Personally I find the Irish to be somewhat annoying.

I'm glad that they're unlikely to qualify. Many of their fans aren't very pleased with how they're playing at the moment. I didn't see much of their game at the weekend, but apparently the way they play is a bit outdated and boring.

I can only really see ourselves and England making it for definite. Northern Ireland have a big game against Hungary in September. If they don't lose that, then I can see them qualifying.

The ROI won't make it, and I don't think Scotland will either. Germany will finish top, and I just think that Poland have enough to finish ahead of the Scots. But I expect Scotland to get to the play-offs. From there, who knows?

Would love to see the Scots qualify with us. They will go into a playoff if they finish third so its a possibility. They have great fans who travel is massive numbers!
