WAYNE HENNESSY

Sat Jun 13, 2015 3:25 pm

If do sell Marshall I wouldn't mine Hennessy at the CCS, I know we have a decent keeper in Moore on the bench but Hennessy's got experience and he's Welsh. Also there are a lot of players who played yesterday who City could buy. Hal Robson Kanu is one who a lot of people think he's worth a shot at but also Vokes ,Chester ,Gunter just to name a few and also Adam Matthews who was on the bench and maybe a loan singing in Tom Lawrence from Leicester City?

Yeah if marshal goes I agree, I also think kanu is alot better than Revell and if Jones goes would provide a good option upfront. Always rated Matthews too I think he's quality for championship

Better than Marshall by far

How he's only a backup keeper defies belief really. Immense performances for Wales will surely get him a move this summer. He deserves to be a number 1. Would like him at City if Marshy leaves.

Last season he was a sub for a League 1 team, while Marshall was the best keeper in the Prem.

At international level to only concede 2 goals in 6 matches is incredible, excellent keeper in my opinion

In commanding his area and distribution but not as an all round keeper!!

Declan is our only Welsh player and he is not wanted by Slade allegedly. No City players in this incredible resurgent Welsh squad at the moment and that kills me.

And tan wanted us to be a rebranded Red Welsh force? Yeah With no Welshmen in it.

We have always had a core of sorts of Welsh/Cardiff boys in our squad since I first started going in the early nineties. Its very important to me that we have that for me to identify and stoke my passion for The Bluebirds. I will see what the transfer season brings before deciding to renew or not, I am not hopeful. Even Collison is on a free isn't he? Jonny Williams on loan? some of the U21 boys? All the above players in this thread would be great assets on and off the pitch for us and would bring the flow of Welsh fire and enthusiasm from the national team into ours. Ang further enhance our re-idetity if you like! It would be a great move for us. City and the Welsh side working closer together even. You could feel the love in that stadium last night, players playing above their station representing their nation, the supporters being the 12 th man, you can't beat it. A bit of that down the City please.

And whose coming through from the development/academy? O Sullivan, Noor, James? where their opportunities?

Just a couple of Taffs in please Russell and I will renew, I don't want to cherry pick games next season, but I will if I have to, l need to identify with my City. All city fans have different criteria for their dedication and enthusiasm, Welsh players is high on my list.

Collison has joined Peterbrough on a free, I wouldn't of minded him at City.

All Marshall is a keeper for the cameras, good shot shopper but everything else is questionable

Did you see the Scotland game today? Very commanding and confident controlling his area.

Agree.
Hennessy is a good keeper & never let's Wales down, in fact he's put in some great performances without doubt, but to say he's better than Marshall is nonsense.
You don't see Hennessy week in week out & hence the reason he's been loaned out to clubs like Yeovil & Stockport.

Still making his way back after a serious injury that kept him out for 18 months

Wayne will be first choice at Palace next season, speroni is making to many errors, Wayne is far more commanding in the area and very good at organising the defence.
