TOTAL VINDICATION OF STAYING AT CCS

Sat Jun 13, 2015 12:54 am

What I experienced tonight was nothing short of blistering. The stadium was packed to the rafters with fans of all ages and from many clubs, but the "Together, Stronger" motto was observed by everyone. I felt part of a huge community of Welsh football and believe it made a big difference.

The 12th Man cliché became a reality and when the final whistle blew, to see Bale coming back out was a relief and also indicated his attitude to playing for his country. It must be nice for him to feel totally appreciated over here, especially when the plums in Madrid give him grief.

It would be wrong to criticise any player out there, but I feel we had monumental performances from Bale, Rambo, Hennessey and Williams. Any one of them could have taken the MOTM but the support from the other players was on the verge of miraculous. Many of the team don't play in the top flight, but you wouldn't know it. They played for each other and lifted their games accordingly.

The decision to keep the game at CCS was completely correct and it will take a very powerful argument to move any future games.

As a previous post stayed, the stadium is capable of thunderous noise and electrifying atmosphere and I hope that the many Bluebirds fans took note and gained inspiration from this. The noise is up to the fans. Nobody else!

Nearly 2am and I'm still buzzing.

Roll on the rest of the fixtures. We should beat Andorra by 5+ on the strength of tonight's event.

If theres 75,000 people want to watch the next home match they'll move it.The only thing proven last night was the full stadium senario.32,000 sitting in the millennium stadium would mean it was more than half empty and the atmosphere would be pants but 75,000 and the place would be rocking.

They won't move the final group games to the Millennium now whatever the demand for tickets. Venues are set.

Watch for the glamour friendlies though being played there.

I'm still against it. Keep it small and you get 32,000 fans who are the highly motivated and fanatical. Who get their tickets quick and will sing.

Go to the Millennium and they will be distributed across the rest of the fans that just jump on the bandwagon and go because its now a 'thing'.

Just look at the rugby. There's not many real club rugby fans there.

Wouldn't want to go back to the Ms it would be filled with kids and family's .not against family's watching football but sometimes the kids don't want to be there .at least at the Cardiff City stadium they are in a area away from the main support .if it went to the Ms they would start putting the prices up .what they charge know is affordable for everyone

They won't move to the millennium for the next 2 home games this campaign

Coleman and all the players have said Cardiff City stadium is there home and they do not want to move as it could effect them

Even getting 75k why chance moving with
2 games left on the brink of history lets not change anything this campaign

Also yes money talks but how much would we earn if we get to france :thumbright:

The 34000 fans last night really wanted to be there and nobody moved from their seats for 90 minutes. No women in those stupid daffodil hats who "love the rugby" but probably never seen their local village/ town team. The no alcohol policy also helped the atmosphere.Watch the crowd at the MS in a rugby international and it is constantly moving to get a drink or have a pee.Well done team, coaches and fans for an unforgettable night. Thanks too to the ground staff ,the pitch was immaculate

Spot on mate.
The rugby days are great fun, but the football has its own unique atmosphere.
Let's keep it as it is.
The 2 games won't be moved now, tickets have been sold, so I can't see how they could organise a change.
Anyway the Rugby World Cup in on Oct/nov so the pitch/stadium will be set up for that

The Stadium gives them "an edge", the players are happy there.

Only an idiot would move it during this campaign.

Even if money is the parameter, there is more money from qualifying, and rankings status move than a one off match.

In the future the move is more probable, but not for this campaign.

France screwed up their last two home games in 1994 campaign, they needed 1 point from 2 home games and screwed it up.
This isn't done yet, Bosnia and Israel are good teams.

The FAW should see out the tournament and then review.

Get the Welsh FA to help pay for the 2nd tiers on the Canton and Grange Ends.

We're good at getting others to fund expansion. May as well have a WHOLE empty 2nd tier for club games.

Ah the infamous David Ginola moment in the last game of the final game when he didn't keep the ball in the corner and crossed the ball, Bulgaria then run up the other end and scored and they then qualified. He never played for the French team again after that. However the difference between that French team and this period is that we aren't up against a classy Bulgarian outfit with the games we have left

I see where you're coming from, but children and families are no less fans the anyone else. In fact, they are the future. I took over 40 kids there last night and I promise you they made more noise than the adults and joined in with the singing. Together, Stronger means just that. It has no exclusions due to age or sex. That's why it is perfect.

To everyone else who replied to my thread, please read the title again. I was not suggesting that the fixtures coming up could be moved. I was saying that CCS WAS PERFECT. That is all. Agree with the alcohol-free policy too. Plenty turned up from the Sand Martin anyway. Lol.

Just a great vindication of the "fit for purpose" CCS.

I think you will find not of the replies were to Sneggy suggesting the games would return to the Millennium Stadium.

Would a singing section work at the Millennium? Of course only if full.

I think there were only two Championship players in the starting XI: Gunter and Robson-Kanu. But even with them, they both play for Reading, and have played at Premier League level as recently as the 2012/13 season.

Israel are a good side?! They are shite, absolutely shite. We went there just over two months ago and demolished them. They never had a sniff.

Therefore, I won't really take much notice of Bosnia beating them. I think I'll wait and see what happens after they've been to Brussels first.
