Bogdan has moved to Anfield on a free transfer meaning any Anfield move for Marshall is now unlikely

Liverpool have signed Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan on a free transfer, a significant step in Cardiff City's attempts to keep hold of skipper David Marshall.
Bluebirds stopper Marshall has been linked with a £5m move to Anfield this summer and although the Scottish international has played down the speculation, rumours persisted of interest from Brendan Rodgers.
But the former Swansea boss has now added Bogdan to his Merseyside ranks, the Hungary international, 27, joining the Premier League giants on July 1 when his contract at the Macron Stadium expires.
Bogdan will provide competition between the posts with Liverpool's number one Simon Mignolet, a man set to sit on the bench for Belgium in tonight's crunch European Championship qualifier with Wales in Cardiff.
And the signing means Liverpool are now highly unlikely to follow up their reported interest in Marshall with a firm bid.
That's a boost for Bluebirds boss Russell Slade, who has maintained he has no interest in selling his club's captain and star asset.
Slade said: “David is very settled at the club. He is very professional and dedicated to what he does.
“We would certainly hope and expect that he is with us next season. That’s how things are right at the moment, anyway.”

Adam Bogdan will be making a switch from Bolton to Liverpool after rejecting a new deal at the Macron Stadium, according to The Guardian.
Friday 12th June 2015
The 27-year-old is available on a free transfer and the Reds are in need of a number two after Brad Jones was released by the club.
Bogdan produced an impressive performance at Anfield in the FA Cup earlier this season, impressing Brendan Rodgers and his coaching staff.
The Hungarian is currently on international duty but a deal could be agreed this week.

Cardiff trying to "keep hold" of Marshall?
Probably gutted that they haven't managed to get rid of one of the high earners at the club.
He'll be pimped out to the highest bidder as soon as possible.

Of course they can't ride rough shot over his contract.
But by making it clear that they want to get as much money in as possible in transfer fees and want to cut back on the wage bill do you honestly believe that the club are "trying to keep hold" of Marshall?
Trying their hardest to get rid of him more like. Doesn't mean they won't honour his contract.
