I remember being on the Grange End, (old roof still on in them days), and the place going NUTS when Sayer scored against Jennings in Spurs goal, and the footage was used on Match of the Day for long while afterwards as part of the intro, (remember the old 'Oh, What a Goal, Goal, Goal, da da da da datta dat dat dah thing).
Then it was Wrexham at home next round, and on the Grange End again to see City get dragged back to 2-2 with about a minute to go, only for BUCHANAN to slot home the winner with seconds to spare. Cue manic scenes again.
Next up Everton in 5th round, and once again bananas time when City took the lead with Tony Evans goal. Then it all went a bit flat when first Duncan MacKenzie and Bob 'Fat' Latchford spoilt the script. Everyone thought Citys name was on the cup that year. Oh well. Abiding memory of the Everton game was the after the match scenes, as the sky was filled with railway ballast, as stones were hurled by Everton fans from Ninian Park Halt down on to us and then us firing them back at them.
Oh yesterday - leave me alone!

Yes, they were great games and great times for us city fans, there were over 35,000 at NP for the Everton game and i still believe macKenzie was way offside when he scored.
