" CITY READY TO STRIKE NOW "

Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:53 am

Russell Slade has now finished all his talk with Tan regarding next seasons signings and has been told to now start his offers on his first list which has 10 names on it incl Daryl Murphy.

Exciting and interesting weeks ahead :thumbright: :thumbright:

Honestly can't get excited about Murphy, one good season and costs £4m. Thought our days of silly spending were over, guess not.

Hopefully the other players on the list are younger and more talented!

I think the media have made that figure up based on his one good season, they haven't really taken into account his age and how long he got left on his contract.

exiting no, interesting yes.

The problem, and you know it if you were truthful to yourself, is that all these players will come with some kind of expectation, but once they get here, are trained by imberciles and managed in only one way to play, they fail, they leave and all of a sudden they are good again.

Now that just shows the coaching and mangement need to leave and others come in. And until that happens, we are going nowehere and nobody in their right mind is going to put their hard earned cash in the tills, unless they have spare and/or don;t really care who plays and how!

Any idea on any other names on the priority list?

After the transfer dealings in January I can't say that this is the least excited I have been about the transfer window for a while.

It will be interesting to see who Slade brings in, from what level of football, their fees and more importantly if any quality is brought in, particularly in some areas where we are desperately short.

Has us becoming self sustainable gone out the window?

What happens IF these signings fail to make an impact?? Sack Slade and then a new manager wants his own set of players . We will have gone back two years again. Let's just hope it does work out.

Tan wants goals and goal scorers.
He asks who scored most goals go get him.

Russel says yes sir.

I am not filled with any optimism.

Slade cannot be trusted to get in anyone half decent judging by his acquiring Peltier, O'Keefe, Malone and Doyle. Only the Everton winger has something about him.

Disagree Doyle knows where the net is and will do well next year I reckon.

Agree about Doyle but slade doesn't seem to rate him, hardly played until we only had him and mason available.
