THE WORST DAY IN CCFC HISTORY

Sun Jun 07, 2015 7:06 pm

full-back Tom Witts was killed in action during the 1914/18 conflict as was Wally Stewart who had played for us in the Club’s first professional season of 1910/11.

Lest we forget.

In response to the 'ONE OF THE WORST DAYS IN CCFC HISTORY' thread and just so we get a grip in thinking our little pastime problems are anywhere near important.

How many fans are aware that Hughie Ferguson scorer of Citys winner against Arsenal in the 1927 Cup final and scorer of a total career 422 in 363 goals ( 77 in 117 for Cardiff ) commited suicide at the age of 31,shame a statue or at least a Bust of him is not on display somewhere around the ground at the Cardiff City stadium.
