Shocking of the FAI to accept that. 3.6 million is nothing compared to having the chance to going to a major tournament. If that was the FAW I would feel let down

If it has gone to appeal would it have got anywhere? This was guaranteed money.

FIFA just didn't want the hassle.
They wanted France and that was an easy way to do it.
Henry should have been retroactively punished though, tosser.

They need to go back a step and find out why FIFA decided to seed the play offs, when originally they said playoffs would be unseeded.

Nail on the head mate, that was the biggest controversy of that play off game, why they were seeded by FIFA in the first case.
The hand ball incident has happened before at International level. Should the Irish FA have protested more robustly? I'm not sure.

I'm Irish and this is still embarrassing. We lost. Yeah the handball incident happened but why should it be different to a dive or any other form of cheating had Fifa replayed that match every second game would have an appeal.
The seeding is what really pissed me off well that and our terrible performance in Dublin in the first leg that meant we had to win in Paris.
